The only support gem that could possibly compete with the damage boost another curse gives is Efficacy, simply because it also gives a bit of skill effect duration. depending on bane's chaos damage over time amount, another great support gem to socket in with this skill would be DECAY. mostly because it would also benefit from the more damage applied by every curse as well, which could cause it to actually deal a significant amount of damage itself.

of course if bane's base damage is high enough, decay wouldn't be worth it. you'd be better off socketing another support. but its food for thought.

hell decay may even be able to inherit the curse tag as well, meaning it would also benefit from other curse passive effects. could be pretty damn decent.

Can Bane be used with Blasphemy ?

Can Bane be used with Curse on Hit support?

Will boss have 80% reduced effect of Bane on them, damage-wise ? TT

looks like a essence drain with better aoe and strict to ES ( leech ES only ).

This means life builds will struggle with it, counting that ES is pretty dead in every single class but occultist I didn't liked it at all

While I'm really excited about Bane (Doesn't hit, it applies a Dot + Curse(s) so I'm not sure why everyone is trying to do curse on hit/decay things with it) and Soul Rend which yes I think looks freaking amazing and the ES Leech (which will be capped) is incredible, I'm more concerned about spreading rot being changed. Losing the 50% damage taken modifier is going to be a huge loss (not that big, but it's important for bossing) On my Death's Oath build. The Wither Mechanic being added is pretty nice I'll admit, however once you get Withering Presence it's kind of pointless.

My question is, will Death Aura from Death's Oath see any kind of base damage increase, or perhaps allow the aura to apply as a stacking debuff to make up for the loss of damage?

I get bored of the grind around 90, probably won't ever get a higher character.
As someone who loved to play Blight as main skill before i'm a bit concerned about its damage now. I hope they increased it a lot to make up for the loss through the jewels. Also reaching max wither stacks with multiple spell totems was super easy by now, therefore i think the new jewel effect is kinda weird...

I'm fairly sure the answers are no, no, and why would you?

For the last one I'm not sure, but I doubt it. It depends on if they're actually positioning as a viable main damage skill or just encouraging more self-casting of curses. If the former, then I doubt bosses will reduce its damage.

Doesn't Decay require hits? I'm not sure, but I don't think Bane hits.
