That's more an issue with the league itself. Syndicate encounters were meant to be like boss fights, which take a while. The lines are fine if that's how it plays out. The problem is how badly they made the rewards scale, resulting in players mostly fighting them in low level areas where you just 1-shot them. This won't be as much of an issue once the league is over and we can only encounter them in maps (presumably), albeit even then it'll still be a problem if just spamming low level maps is the best strategy. Hopefully they'll fix the reward structure to disincentivize that.


Even in maps my self found glacial hammer jugg was killing them fast enough for the voice lines to overlap and if you watch streamers they just instantly steamroll them even in t16s. The lines are way too long and too many are played.

Was it Nick's idea to have 3-5 voices overlapping simultaneously for every single Betrayal encounter all league?

Is he on the 1,000 hour QA team? Actually that doesn't matter, someone on the 1 hour QA team would have noticed this. (Note: still in the game after over 2 months.)

I'd love to play with voices on, because you guys have some good talent, but have some common sense please.
(2-3-2019) Buff underused skills (3.23?!)+ selfcast, stop nerfing defense, build in threshold jewels (3.23?!), implement D3-style looting, add death log + MTX preview, actually rework flasks, stop balancing around the .01%, unnerf Harvest, ADD NEW WAYS TO LEVEL, finally implement Loot 2.0

Niko is still may best voice acted character of the game, he always cheers me up with his wackiness and quarks.

We need more funny nutty statements for him to say.

I only have two, or perhaps three if you split one, questions.

#1 Are we going to see any cut lines restored to characters?

The Witch, for example, has no dialogue when entering the sewers in Act 3 because her dialogue was for when you entered the now removed map where the waypoint originally was. In doing so she lost one of her best lines and perhaps one of the best lines in the entire game, "Sad creatures in dark corners, seems they've been sad for a very long time."

#2 Will eventually hear our characters make various quips as they enter zones in Act 5 and beyond and other sorts of flavor dialogue, and if so what sort of timetable would we be looking at for it?

I generally like the various "flavor" lines they have such as commenting on how Gravicius wanting to burn the Witch "wasn't very nice. Going from having our characters being fairly vocal through Act 4 to being stereotypical silent protagonists from 5 onward is a bit jarring, and disappointing.

I also love when there are happy little accidents of convergent dialogue such as when I had a Templar enter The Coast and ask, "Oh God, what is that stench?" only for Einhar to shout out, "Greetings Exile!" a split second later.
I love the voice acting in PoE. And no matter how many times I hear Einhar say "Until we slaughter you! Ah-hahahaah!" I still laugh. I think it actually gets funnier the more I hear it somehow
i hate to be one among the voice and I am glad you guys are working hard...

but race when?

edit: it would be actually nice to hear all the voice work you guys did this league, instead of feeling like I joined a discord call with 12 people talking at the same time...

Voices do add a ton of character to the NPC's, I'm definitely a fan of that in Syndicate. Except Vagan and his new weird ass Katharine Hepburn impersonation... It's a good thing he is so easy to decide to kick out of the rotation.
