" just file a bug report in the respective forum section. what error number does the win application logs state (you find them in the system settings). also worth checking the game's logfile after a crash if there are problems interacting with some hardware. you find it in your poe folder in your personal account settings, it's called client.txt edit: the logfile can get quite big over time. just rename it if you haven't done so for some time. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill! No more XP support? I couldn't care less BUT no more DX9 support sucks ass. Yes you are right DX9 players do not use DX9 because we can't run DX11 we use DX9 because POE's shadows suck ass. Thanks to ground effects and full screen explosions it's almost impossible to see anything unless you are slower than a slug. With shadows on top of this it's like playing completely blind. And you even have the effrontery to say that poe is balanced around shadows aka. balanced around people not seeing shit? Come on, that's a little too much even by your low standards!

I know for a fact you test performances on high end computers. Below minimum graphics with DirectX9 runs infinitely better than Directx11. Why infinitely? Because YOU DON'T CRASH EVERY SECOND AREA. PoE focuses on update after update, rushed, and leaving the people who clean up the code having more work than they started. PoE is poorly coded, especially compared to its main competitor Diablo 3. You're not a small company anymore, there's no excuses for dog poop performance. I remember the days of exploding palm meta in d3 in 4 mans, having the entire screen pop with explosions everywhere simultaneously. PoE lags the hell out from having to load 1 player, and a screen of monsters popping at the same time in PoE leaves, even the high end computers, with massive fps drops. I don't have $4k to drop on a new computer, think it's easier to just stop playing PoE. Kinda killed it with the last update. Progression is almost as bad as D3's seasonal starter set bags. |

Dx11 is awful without ability to disable shadows and soo many particles barely playable. Good job you probably gonna lose 20% of playerbase without dx9

Is there a forecast somewhere so people have more time to adapt ? I myself use windows 10 64 bit, but i can imagine not everyone has the money or means to adapt quickly.
Would be neat i u can come up with a realtime (-ish) graph of type OS , 32/64 bit and numbver of POE users using it in time.. |
