TBH .. poe has the worse code i ve personally seen from a company.
Needs to be rewritten from scratch and get fresh downloads / re-installs. Shadows like other players mentioned above suck , and they hurt my eyes too . Also mentioned above , haven't seen anywhere recommended pc specifications anywhere , or have i missed it? How about you let us know what you use at the studio to develop and test the game just out of curiosity and if those systems are used for all workstations there or you have specific systems build just for testing... If you know what i am saying.. |

I used Dx9, cause game ran like shit on Dx11 on particle heavy builds. since I could disable more stuff using Dx9.
7700k + gtx 1080 + game on ssd + 32gb ram = not a potato, but still due to poor optimasation have to run dx9 to run @60 edit: to run stable @60 without weird stutters. Last edited by Dzesis#0580 on Jan 28, 2019, 4:40:48 AM

" POE don't need auction. Only thing that required is fully automatic trading, just set price and forget until money comes to you(maybe in message like season rewards in D3). |

Well, time to say goodbye to this game and uninstall I suppose, since you don't plan to either keep DX9 or allow us to turn shadows off in DX11. Thanks a lot GGG.

" Maybe the support on W7 will last beyond its remaining maintenance by microsoft the same as it was now with XP? But I doubt they will lose that much players to this reason, because: -I mainly gave up the illusion that someone/part of the 'community' (industry) will help the majority of 'legacy' users to keep the 'best remaining compromise' (W7 *) running in an - from safety view - acceptable way.... -many others are gone, and will go because of the impact of the ongoing changes and disbalancing on their kind of gameplay and view on the game -and the 'others' probably are low- or even non-supporters, so with very limited effect on the game/GGG on leaving. *) if it would have been decided (which obviously would have been possible) the very best system would be a W2K with full 64 bit support, actual core engine for peripheral stuff like gfx and network, and optional, additional desktop environments (classic,xp,ribbons, touch, whatever), and a fully customizable, modern setup. I NEVER will accept a (THE) core part of a computer of mine that I dont "own" on my local operation. A rented OS is bullshit. invited by timer @ 10.12.2011

" That's the crux. Windowed mode is inacceptable/too inconvenient as you need to limit the mouse to that window, or risk of losing 'focus' while this may not be a 'good idea'... (and you also lose some - yes, minor - resolution by this) So of course I compare fullscreen to windowed fullscreen, and I still stick with a single monitor setup for gaming. (ok the wording with 'ALL' modes in my OP may have been wrong, will edit to be more clear) invited by timer @ 10.12.2011 -- deutsche Community: www.exiled.eu & ts.exiled.eu Last edited by Mr_Cee#0334 on Jan 28, 2019, 5:11:07 AM

Since DX11 support came out a number of years ago it has never worked on my computer despite an upgrade to a 1060 graphics card. Client just always crashes on startup.
Maybe time for a new CPU or MOBO? |
