Sorry, not meaning to be rude or anything in disagreeing, especially since this is someone else’s thread/guide, but I would strongly recommend going for the vortex cool down recovery enchant as it significantly improves QOL and the mapping experience. A good enchant should be about grabbing something that the tree does not readily offer. %dmg is boring and offers nothing significant when you already have tons of %dmg from gear and tree. %duration doesn’t offer much when your damage is already high enough.

We need more vortex cool down recovery enchants on helms, especially ilevel 80+ shaped hubris circlets. Lab runners, if you are reading this, aim for that!


Can i ask why shaped hubris?
And yeah .14 seconds is not significantly less but its something. You get 1 xtra cast in every 10th, which makes you run almost same distance than without it. There is shaped items that makes cooldown lower and combined with those, yeah sure its powerfull enchant.
I see this toon more like bossing build not mapping.

Yeah sry i was too lazy to write "with enchant it drops down to 0.86" 0.87 with lvl 20 gem.

Does flat added fire or lightning to spells also mess up our EE? Or does it help actually?

If you want to build the toon for max potential, why not use it for both mapping AND bossing? My vortex cool down is at .78s and it makes for extremely smooth gameplay. Take it for someone who has taken vortex/cold snap DoT to its maximum potential, if you are wanting to spend currency and craft a GG helm, the best enchant is vortex cool down recovery.

Shaped hubris is the ideal helm because the best possible combination of mods in a helm for cold snap would be:
1. Nearby enemies have -cold res
2. Socketed with Hypothermia and increased chill effect (which u can only get on a shaped helm)
3. ES

The above combination gets the most damage out of a 4L cold snap, maximum benefit out of bonechill which then boosts your vortex damage.


Anyway, my apologies to the guide creator for intruding (I'm just tired of seeing bad vortex enchant choices on helms). If anyone has further questions just pm me or ask in my thread. I'll stop answering here.

I started playing PoE around 2 months ago, this is my 3rd build and i think the most fun build that that i've played so far.
Currently running T14-15 maps on lvl 86 and planning to craft some decent gear.

my question is where do you unlock crafted mod "trigger a socketed spell when you use a skill"?

i'm on standard btw.

Im trying to help people without 100-200ex currency to spend on gear. You may have tons of dmg and ES so do i, but 99% of people doesnt. And if you are in that point, you dont come here and ask things because you already know. People acting like elitists are every game's cancer. Not to mention most of people dont run maps in 1-2minutes, so boss dps is always welcome.

Vortex also hit with cold dmg when applied, thats why you need constant hits from other sources. Socketed spell mod also activates when you use Flame Dash, so its not someting you want remove.
