Slow Mo Zombies! (No Uniques Needed|Relaxed Playstyle|Easy to Gear|Anyone Can Play|All Content)[3.5]

Do I understand correctly this passive link in the first post is upgraded for 3.5 patch? Cause it says 3.4 Passive tree in the title, and as far as i get from reading posts about this awesome build, you have changed something (skeletons).

Having just read through the guide and the previous 3.4 build also, I see that you have changed the CWDT Flesh Offering links for the new Skeleton set up. I was wondering how much of a difference this will make to the build?

I'm curious because I was under the impression that Flesh Offering was a pretty integral part of a summoner's arsenal when it came to game play. If I am missing something obvious then please let me know!

Once again, thank you for a well written guide. Excited to play this in Betrayal.

You're not missing anything obvious. This was a really hard choice for me. This is the first time I have ever done a minion build without an offering. But with the addition of skeletons I had to make a hard choice. I ended up choosing the defensive 4-link of Stone Golem, Molten Shell, and Holy Relic for the one handed setup. Feel free to replace it with a level 1 Cast when Damage taken, a level 7 Desecrate, a level 8 Flesh Offering, and a level 3 Immortal Call. The 2 handed version couldn't fit it in at all :(.

But Flesh Offering isn't integral. It's great! I hate not having it. But I went with defense.

Hey daimonxp! Great question.

dumb question but when with a boss fight and you have no corpses is there a way to get any?
Although your Zombies will feel really squishy at the beginning of the game, you'll see they get very resilient. They will rarely die. But on the occasion that they die in the middle of a fight, you have your skeletons as backup. They will deal excellent damage. It's one of the main reasons I added them. I can't look at the screen long enough to use Convocation well enough. (I just have Convocation in the build for everyone else. I won't be using it.)

Most (not all) boss battles will have extra enemies come out to fight at multiple stages so you have a chance to refill your flasks, get corpses, things like that. But because we have skeletons, I didn't focus on having a lot of mana or mana regen. Our Blasphemy and Hatred will take almost all our mana. So unless we get gear with a bunch of extra mana, we won't have enough mana to raise a zombie without disabling one of our auras. Raising zombies one at a time in the middle of a boss battle that hits hard enough to kill your zombies isn't really efficient anyway.

So you can use Desecrate outside of combat to raise your zombies if there aren't any corpses around. Otherwise, your skeletons will save the day.

Keep the questions coming. Don't feel like any are dumb.

I wonder why in 3.5 we should avoid Ele Reflect Maps? In 3.4 I had no big problems with Ele Reflect in Maps. Only with that Phys Reflect. Thats what was getting me down in a flew.
Reflect is really hit and miss. On an average hit with zombies, out of 44'000 per hit, 28'000 is physical and 16'000 is cold damage. I was going to wait until I hit T11+ maps before I updated reflect in the guide. Honestly, I could take out Elemental Reflect and just remind people to turn off Hatred.

But once I hit red maps, if I find that I can do Elemental Reflect at any time, no matter what the other mods are, I'll update the guide and let everyone know.

Good observation :)

What kind of end game can this do? Have any videos?

TYVM for ur response, Im glad i have found a guide like this. I would like to ask about passive tree which is pretty scary for a new player :D In your guide you say that it doesnt really matter which path we choose and we should avoid "west part" of it and leave it for later part. Did u plan to divide ur passive tree into some parts , like for example, lvl 30/60/90 etc.? It would be also easier for some people i to follow it I believe.
I'm sorry, but I don't think i'll be providing pictures staging the leveling process on the tree. Taking the nodes in the order that they come in is quite balanced for both offense and survivability. I've encouraged people to take all the nodes on the right side of the tree, then the top, then the bottom, then lastly the left.

But I find when you let people make their own choices (with some guidance) they really learn the build a lot more. It also helps to learn the tree better for when people play other builds as well. But follow the suggested path in the paragraph above and you'll do great.

But even with all the changes I made to the guide last night to make more character space, I'm still at the 50'000 character limit. So I don't have the space for more pictures and links :).

Sorry. Let me know if you have any other questions or suggests!

I can't thank you enough, I got to lv74 (T8 maps) in delve playing super casual (only Friday nights with a friend for about 6 weeks).

Everything just fell into place, I got both the violent dead gems quick for like 2 chaos and didn't notice them not being there when I didn't have them.

Everything was a breeze, my friend is new and made bad choices so his "tank" hid behind ME most of the time!

I am telling him to do this build and I am going to try arc trapper for Betrayal.

Because I play a lot, I may level arc trapper for Betrayal with friend on Fridays, and run Zombies on my own in Betrayal to get extra gear for our Friday night incursions!

I also recommend this build to anyone who wants to one hand this game and maybe keep a finger hovering over a life flask.

It was a dream, ALMOST boring...almost. a little slow, but really, really fun!

Also after Kitava, I had 4 deaths, and 3 of those were me being dumb ;)
Thank you for such kind words. The build really does get stronger as you progress. It's a lot of fun to notice it get stronger.

I hope you both enjoy the build and please feel free to give any suggestions or feedback as you go through 3.5. Adding skeletons changes the playstyle a little bit from 3.4.

Oh! And regarding being a little slow, I saw in the 3.5 announcement video, the ability to craft 35% movement speed?! If that stayed in the game, it's higher than was previously craftable (17%) and higher than the previous max roll (30%)! So the "little slow" maybe no longer be a factor!

Thanks again for your encouragement :)

The passive tree in this guide is not yet 3.5's. It's still 3.4. I'll update it as soon as pathofexile.com updates theirs which will be when 3.5 is released.

That being said, this is the exact path and nodes that you'll take anyway. Even with the changes that GGG made to the tree, and with our addition of skeletons, it doesn't change one node from the 3.4 version of my tree to the 3.5 version. But I'll be updating everything anyway.

I'm blushing that you think this build is awesome. ;) I hope you like it. Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks for the post. The only video I have in an example video of how the build functions. I'll add a 3.5 one once I get to Racecourse again :). It's the best map. I always make it a T16.

In terms of Atlas clearing, this build will do it easily. Shaper, Elder, both...If you know the battles, this build will do it. For something like Delve depths? The build can go much farther than I can. My medical situation can't handle the business and colourful activity that Delve brings. I don't think it'll take you into the 1000 range solo, but in terms of monster clearing, level 83 enemies in T15 maps get cleared really quickly with Zombies. So keep your defenses up and happy delving!

But only my symptoms have stopped this build, not the build itself :). So that's a good thing.

Why should there be any reason starting any boss fight without any Zombies? Zombies are your "main skill" and will be ALWAYS the first of all things you do at starting to play. In every situtation. In my case (I've played the build in 3.4), if I'm starting a map or Lab or something else, I do teleport to any lower region, kill some Monsters and let my Zombies spawn. From this point on you have your Zombies with you. At least til they're goin to hell again. ;D

That's not what I meant by the post and it was already answered. No kidding you wouldn't go in with out zombies. I'm saying going over the gems I saw no attack abilities to create zombies till I was told desecrate, then you can raise them. Never played with that skill. Anyways been lvling Non-League trying it out near lvl 60ish. it's great so far.
