How Atlas Objectives Work

Oh good, so dailies didn't get removed, they just force us to trade maps now. Cool. I look forward to dealing with the absolute cancer that is the not-a-trade-system.

Did you guys forget that casual plebs used Zana's daily missions to refresh her shop and get more maps? Or do you seriously just not care? I would hope that the new master shops refresh by other means, but honestly I know better, GGG is not that competent and does not have that kind of foresight. It's going to be so much fun getting trapped in RNG hell for weeks because I can't get the map Zana is squatting in which means I can't refresh her shop which means I can't get the map Zana is squatting in which means I can't refresh her shop which means...You getting the picture? Cascading failure. So cool.

I spent weeks trying to get an Atoll map this league to chase Shaper and get Elder to finally spawn, and that was with the benefit of Zana's shop. It was so miserable that I quit the league shortly after succeeding, I couldn't stomach the game anymore. Now we have the same shit cranked to 11.

I would hold out hope that this is not going to be as bad as it looks, but no, I know GGG by now, it'll be worse than it looks.

This is great, but trading maps will be PAIN IN THE ASS even more now.

To replace daily missions, we have added a new system called Atlas Objectives. These are markers on the Atlas of Worlds that show that a specific Master is in that map and available to do a mission with you. These repopulate every day just like daily missions did before.

Since we don´t know for certain how exactly it will work, because noone of us played it yet... i still think that GGG will listen to constructive feedback.

But bitching is also an option i guess... maybe... just maybe... we get a function to "reset" her location on the atlas and she camps somewhere else? So you get another objective if she is at a cells map for example and we all love Cells right? So you push the red button, she gets a new location, the quest gets abborted like we do now and for some magical reason she has new maps.

Or what could also happen is that if the reset hits, or repopulation, the masters get new stuff in their shops. Would also be a good idea.

Giving ideas is way better for a game dev team than just sitting in the corner and crying, because someone might maybe stole your imaginable candy.

You must have been doing something wrong... Were you completing Bonus map objectives? Were you actually running good amount of maps?

By the time I got Atoll, I had cleared all tiers up to 6, including all tier 6 but Atoll and maybe 1 other. I had also been clearing higher maps, but I held off on most because I was afraid of using one that I would need later.

I used the random rerolls via the map device, I ran maps adjacent to it, eventually I started trying to upgrade lower maps to get one (I think this was how I eventually got one), I did Zana dailies to refresh her shop, and any time she had Atoll on her mission list I took it, or one adjacent, or whatever was tier 6. It was miserable, the game flat-out refused to give me the damn map. I could have traded one, I'm sure, but I wanted to see just how bad it could get as if I was running SSF. I frankly have no idea how anyone could tolerate playing SSF like this.

I used every trick in the book and it was not enough.

On a regular 2-or-so hours a night schedule? Yeah, it was 2-3 weeks. RNG can and will just completely fuck you if it feels like it.

Now please do that to the map based Trials. I got thru the whole league without finding the last one. RNG sucks

nice, but can you make the map drops better so we will not be dependent on trading to get to red maps?
