Announcing Private Leagues

well but you don't have to pay the full price alone, you can split the price with the league's players, so if you wanna play the league in 5 people, you can split that amount of money into 5, to me it's not incredibily expensive

IT IS OPTIONNAL !

Calm your tits guyz !

I won't buy those provate league either but I'm not going to complain about something out of the global temp leagues which will have no influence on the game ...

Just don't pay, is it that difficult ?

And please don't compare this to diablo Immortal, we have plenty of expansions and new things on POE often enough.

This thing will be affect on current league online and online of other leagues. Less people on main league = ruined economy and trade. Is this hard to understand?
This is first call from GGG that they will change game to P2P..

ARE U CRAZY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????? ITS WILL KILL HARDCORE LEAGUES !!!!!!!!!!! and maybe SC LEAGUES 2

Explain to me how will it kill those leagues as it is PRIVATE and that you have to PAY to extend it ? It will close soon enough, and as you can see in the comments, nobody will pay for those private leagues, except maybe some streamers ...

Interesting. I think the fact that this private league thing is totally OPTIONAL has gone straight over the heads of many posters. It's not something I personally would be interested in but for the players who are looking for ways to push the limits of their builds it seems okay.

I'd watch streams of these leagues for sure.

I've read most of this thread (yea i know, should have better ways to use my time) and the negative comments are generally from people who :

- didn't read the whole announcement
- don't realise this is an 8 year+ old design goal (lol Tencent?!)
- read the announcement but failed to understand the wording of the announcement

The negative comments are almost entirely from people with really bad literacy and/or numeracy skills. It's shocking. I suppose for some English isn't their first language but for others it's really embarrassing.

Compare the positive and negative comments, it's like pre and post lobotomy.

If you don't like it that's fine. This isn't the only announcement.

Nice addition, although I think most people wouldn't play it except for streamer leagues if you don't allow higher drop rates and higher pack sizes. Most ppl wouldn't mind if the league is void and you have higher drops in a private guild league or something.

I would definitely buy one for my guild if it had higher drops and pack size in a void league, since most of my guild never hit 100 because we don't have time for excessive grind, but fun is not allowed :D.

i think the main problem with this is that if you play with a boosted drop rate, after the end of the private league you feel shit playing the league, if i was you, i would be more focused to make drop rate more "fair" in the free league and not only in optional leagues
I don't see myself playing on private league, but I know that some people will love this :o So once again great job GGG.
As long as you fix trade and don't make PoE2 a mobile game in the next patch. I imagine streamers will pay for the private leagues.
So its just for the challenge, no fun leaguemods just boring no vendor/more monsterspeed damage etc, without any more reward.

This is a challenge for some streamers and maybe nice for them + their viewers.

But I thought you can create Perandus Anarchy-Everywhere Invasion Everywhere + Beyond + Headhunter league -.-

I have zero desire to participate in this. It doesnt sound like you can recreate old leagues and shit like that. It just sounds kind of like a waste of time and resources. Can we have an AH yet? NOT A REAL MONEY AH!!!! Just something to make trade less terrible. You know...if you post an item for 20c, it actually gets sold at 20c kind of thing. None of this price fixing wanna be scamming bullshit.

How would an AH prevent price fixing? Oh, I see Mathil is using weapon X and jewel Y, let's buy a lot of them quickly and put them up for a ridiculous price asap. No difference, with or without an AH.

Also, there are people without a currency tab. Where would the resulting currency be stored? What if people want to pay in alternative currency? Would they be able to contact you? When you put something up for 1.5ex, do you want the .5ex the current rate or the rate when you put up the item?

That is not what price fixing is. It is someone posting items up for cheap, without the intention of selling that item, so that other players also post it cheap without realizing they could sell it for much more. This is not only scammy as hell, but incredibly annoying when you just want to purchase something and the first few listings are from people who will never sell you an item for the price listed.

Also there would be a mail system to buffer transfer of currency from the AH to your stash just like every other game with an auction house.

As far as currency conversions, if you want 5.9 exalt, you would put 5 exalt, 95 chaos instead(or whatever) and regardless of what the current conversion rate of exalt to chaos is, you will get 5 exalt and 95 chaos for your item. Make it so only Exalt and chaos can be used to buy items, and the currency trading part of the auction house would handle all conversions to that currency.

There will definitely be interest in certain groups of players but for the majority of players, i think they will stick with the official leagues.

And yes i would like an easier method of trading for currencies and maps.
