Announcing Private Leagues

Well that's...quite a surprise. You finally did it.

To not take advantage of the void league feature to make 'easier' options was a mistake imo. I have absolutely no interest in making this game harder. There you go appealing to the niche again.

edit: then again, I get why you couldn't do it. Streamers have the funds to run these leagues, and if they ran 'easier' ones, viewers would most definitely cry 'pay to win', even if said league never went near the competitive ones. Eh, just one angle that proves this is a bad idea.

Oh well, I only have 1 GGGold left anyway.

Funds to run it ? it will cost few hundred points to last a league..that's pocket money..that arent asking for obscure amounts...and youren ot forced to do anything.
They simply adds the option to those who want a more challenging league..be happy that they arent pulling a "blizzard wow" and make the game more easy :)

really?

i can't prolong a temp league?

seems like you didn't realise that the dividing line between players isn't the one having the pseudo hardcore players (ugh, my char is in another league now) and softcore players (omg i lost xp)

but between 20h per day players (well i played 600 hours in 6 weeks, let's play another game) and those losers who have a life and the league ends for them when they hit red maps.

Work harder...get skilled..red maps is only few hours into a new league :)

friends who may have played together for years, must decide in the future whether they want to play a pay to play or not.

In some cases this means exactly the opposite. One goes into Pay to Play Leauge and the other stays with the free game. It separates friends - it doesn't connect them!

friend a: hey guys the new league is releasing in a few days do you want to play for free like we've been doing for 5 years or do we wanna pay a bottle of coke per week to make the game arbitrarily harder for literally no reason other than dick wagging on reddit
friend b: yeah that sounds pretty fucking gay
friend c: agreed

If the income should decrease and you wanted to try to boost it again, ask your community what they would like to see. Instead of allowing long friendships or guilds to break apart.

you do understand that players have been waiting for paid private leagues since beta, right? there have been people who have wanted to see this for YEARS.

"
However, not everyone will be willing to pay this price ($ and/or broken friendships).

I would say that a vast majority of people are not willing to pay this price

"
Some may even turn their backs on you forever.

don't let the door hit your ass on the way out

"
But now I see myself facing a 2nd class game: Those who are willing to pay and those who don't want to (or can't: pupils, students, unemployed, etc.).

holy hell, this really reads like a professional victim posted this. tell me, bub, just how many people do you think will pay for private leagues? that dude above us in the thread said that a league start sees 80-90k players online. that's 80,000 to 90,000. how many fucking people are going to spend money on this?

"
I wonder if you are really acting in the sense of your community (the big mass) or if it is less of a wish.

just fucking open this page and ctrl+f "paid leagues"

Who wants this? what a waste of effort.

I'm pretty sure a bunch of ppl who want this. I would guess a ton of streamers who want to offer more to their viewers.
Or an idiot like me..who might find it funny to run around in a world of wreaclast that really fights back.

So put away your "i dont like this...nobody would like it because i don't" attitude...and come with some constructive criticism :)

can any of you mouthbreathers rationally explain why d3 mobile and private leagues are even remotely comparable or are you just that much of a deficit

Sigh... why??? I don't get it, why should this private league interest me in any way?

Read the post again.
You might think the game is to easy..you might want more of a challenge.

If you like to run, and you run 5 miles..then you might do that for a while..after a period of time then you might want to push yourself, so you start to run 10miles..you get the drift...its all about pushing yourself.

If might be something for you...or it might not...you're not forced to do anything.
GGG is simply offering a way to make the game more challenging..for those who want that. A thing that's honestly missing from most popular games nowadays..it's all about making the games easier and easier to play..because so many ppl wants it all handed to them...a long ramble... :)
this is a bad idea.
Trust your mind and strengthen your abilities!

GG Tencent. I expected this but its too soon! I guess in 1-2 years i gotta find new game cuz im sure this will get bigger cuz you will show how greedy you are.

Funny thing is that Tencent invested in ggg, because they had ideas for the Chinese market...which doesnt influence you in anyway.
Youre not forced to do anything..you don't have to pay for anything if you dont want to.
YOu obviously read 1 line from Chris' post..and decided to release your anger on the thread.

...like the "ironman" modes that players enjoyed with old-school Action RPGs in the 90s. Adding durability, turning off vendors, flask refills and stashes lets you test yourself...

(Emphasis mine)

The durability option is mentioned no-where else in the post. was this accidentally mentioned, or accidentally left out of one of the options?
