Announcing Private Leagues
" i think he talks about d2 open bnet |
|
" That's what many players expected, Tencent ist starting to show its influence. Though it hurt a bit to not support PoE anymore, I'm now relieved and find myself confirmed I stopped buying packs since GGG sold their game (and theirselves). |

do you realize that they can't just let people create leagues on servers for free? you think hosting the servers is free? come on, use some logic please.

" This gammon is tasty. (Not relevant to anything, just wanted to share) 90% of posts on these forums are people that feel entitles to anything and everything on a free game. Trying to explain that even 'turning the lights on' costs money is pointless. They deserve it, apparently... |

WORST IDEA, ok, no, the worst idea is the diablo mobile version, but this, It is very close.

GGG, here's what you should do to alleviate the concerns of certain non-streamer, non-large-amount-of-friends-having players (if you haven't already figured this out by now just from reading feedback):
*Make a free Single-player local option, that way you're not technically gating content behind a paywall, and also people who want to play alone don't feel left out. *Allow players to create private leagues in sizes smaller than 10. Not everybody has a full-fledged LAN party to play with, y'know. Personally, i'd suggest the following options: 3-player for 36 pts ($3.60), and 5-player for 60 pts ($6.00). This matches up with your current pricing pattern 1:1. Last edited by DuexGambit#6673 on Nov 6, 2018, 2:21:14 PM

Definitely not for me.

" I might be wrong, but i think GGG is smart.
Spoiler
So whoever claims playing with the private league settings would occasion more costs has probabaly not thaught about how smart GGG probbaly is. You are welcome to proof me wrong! Now let's take a closer look on what is offered: - All the mods listed are just modifiers which can easily run ontop of already existing modifiers like mods applied to maps, besides the private league ones would be global. So basicly this is just "party SSF" So say goodbye to party SSF mode dreams. The only diffrence is you don;t see the chat and you don't see the ppl in the towns If you only make ppl with the same private league ID visible you feel like you are alone SSF settings ontop perfect illusion of your own SERVER In worst case they would need to have more town instances since thats the only place apart from chat where you can meet other ppl. Pritty much like millions of map instances get openend every minute Since i assume GGG is smart, the pricing is just to prevent us from ending up in Path of #join my private league plzkthx! So do you think GGG is smart or they let their extra cash be drained by additional expenses. Private league, whatever,.. can we go on? Last edited by Xtov#2198 on Nov 6, 2018, 3:50:20 PM

After consideration, this makes me uneasy because: this is the first time POE PLAYABLE content is behind a paywall.
RIP free to play |

So a few things.
First of all I just read all 103 pages. Secondly, I'd say 97% of the people who posted can't read and just posted crap that could easily be answered or explained if they just read the first page. The amount of people who don't understand there won't be past leagues is mind boggling. Third, this has been something that was in the works before PoE was even out of beta. Even way back then it was going to be paid. All this was WAY before tencent was even a glimmer. Fourth, it isn't expensive at all. If you aren't playing with friends you won't be doing this anyway. Well most won't be there's always the outlier. Crowd funding the private league will make the cost insignificant. (I personally would like to know more information how this works) Lastly, while adding past leagues would be cool it would also be P2W. So not going to happen. I don't think it should either. Not to mention allowing past leagues would completely kill the population across the board. |
