you have to remove the shader from the GGG folder.
Defrag the content.ggpk and after that run the PackCheck.exe | |
This is what I did that worked.
opened Steam/library right clicked Path of exile/ Properties/ Browse Local Files select ShaderCache delete everything inside. Then you run "PackCheck.exe" which is found in the same place as ShaderCache, After it completes. go to Steam/library right clicked Path of exile/ Properties/ Verify Intefrity of Game Files it will run and install what ever is missing. |

I have 3 shader folders:
1.) CachedHLSLShaders of the Direct x11 (and all it's many components under the subfolder) 2.) ShaderCacheD3D11 3.) ShaderCacheD3D11_GI ? One other topic of this same issue (which I am having right after fixing another issue :/) I deleted all the shader folders (started it up) and it said it "should" work. All that it did right was ensure that those files would recreate themselves. But alas, same "Wrong Shader File Decoded Size Exemption" I followed what you said, I deleted the 3 shader folders. Ran the the exe.pack. and ran the "view integrity of the files" right clicking on it from steam. The steam version said integrity is fine, and it may have regenerated those deleted shader folders? but didn't work. Any help? Edit: "it MAGICALLY worked" i wish i knew exactly what caused it to work. Because the rune exe.pack didn't actually finish. :/ so try what was posted by BeastyK that i BUT THEN IT DID NOT As i was writing this edit. I had another crash. Too many things written something and Chain not linked chain exemptions.builds? Please help Last edited by xZANZIBARx#1847 on Dec 1, 2018, 8:01:54 AM

I'm having the exact same error also.
Deleting shader files and relaunching did not help. I did a pack check and it said the files were in sync. This is on the standalone client btw. |
