Upcoming Delve Improvements

I am not a fan of the shared upgrades, I think there is a better alternative.
TLDR: Only give half of the proposed changes (share resources, not share both resources and upgrades).

Some credit goes to TarkeCat for sharing the same idea:

Make it so just the resources are shared (meaning, if you collect Azurite, any of your characters can spend it). This has a very similar impact to GGG's proposed changes as you can have your main run a couple high level delves for Azurite so your alt gets a huge "catch-up" on their upgrades.

This catch-up is a nice halfway measure between now and GGG's proposed changes. Doing the full implementation will really cut into the longevity of the league and the game (think of how this would affect standard).

Plus, if this ends up not being enough, the full implementation can be added, but it is way way harder to take stuff away from the players if the full implementation is dished out right away and ends up making things worse (as I expect it will).

Delve is exactly about the second question. That's 1 build-character trying to go deeeeeper not your 350 characters. :P



I don't see any advantage in terms of depth?! Since the Azurite and upgrades will be shared anyway why would my new chars push me deeper? If i reroll a stronger char I will eventually reach the depth anyways it just does not fully use the possibilities of procedural mines.
Don't get me wrong I do like it how it is I would just love to explore a little more but its kinda useless since u are usually totally overleveld. That may be different in very high end areas but still...

Well, mine-progress need be character-progress and not account-progress just by the fact that it is what makes you actually play the game and play in the mine and play the league.

Otherwise this would be a 1 week league.

The reason why you need to restart your travel on mines when you create a new character is the same why you need to remake all labs and campaign when you create a new character. Hope you understand me, it makes you PLAY THE GAME.

"Oh but I guess i'll be bored to restart the mines or...." So do I everytime I die (I play HC) and have to fight from Brutus to Kitava, but well, I still do it. And honestly, its kinda fun. :)

Would it not be far easier to just hold onto the lit flare, that way I am always in the light?

screw that, this is the dumbest idea for any kind of grindy collection garbage you have to do. Why not make us get all the labs on every character again too?
Thanks for all the continued work on making Delve better, it's such a good league.
I hope it will also include stability fix, because i still cannot enter the mine.
I'll be honest, I don't see much value in dynamite. It's just an unimportant and pointless mechanic.
