Once you're in your mid-game gear with some +levels to your golems the easiest most all around setup is the following

Summon Ice Gole
MultiStrike
Empower
Melee Physical Damage
Minion Damage
Maim


If you are maiming from a secondary source, Fortify or Ruthless are valid replacements for it. Ruthless brings more boss damage, but to interact with the league mechanic fortify brings more frontloaded damage.

Melee Splash feels unnecessary.

That being said, if you went as deep into armor as you reasonably can with Phase Acrobatics, I think you could still pull off close to 4k VMS and 1-1.5k MS shields, which is non-negligible.

I currently have VMS linked with increased duration, but I don't think it's needed if you're good with timing it. You also get a much shorter soul gain prevention period without it. VMS is a base of 9, and lasts around 16seconds with my current level increased duration. MS has only a 3 second duration, so it's more important to not use it mindlessly. VMS lasts long enough that you can use it far in advance when you know you're going into a bad situation, like a Betrayal or Legion encounter.

I do want to mention that I'm at a point where I'm not only socket starved, but keybind starved. My version of this build is complicated and far removed from a one-button build. I may end up using one, maybe two Unset rings just to free up some slots, and maybe try to stick convocation on a CWDT link. I prefer managing it myself, but I'm just out of buttons at this point.


I am running a similar version to yours, but I am reserving Essence Worm with hatred and paying 246 mana for precision. Not really sure if it's worth dropping any of these for Flesh and Stone. They are both incredible dps increase.

Gonna sim around and do some testing. According to PoB, if I run defensive flesh and stone on Essence Worm instead of hatred and run brutality, then that is only a minor dps decrease. This might work out. I actually dropped Elemental Equilibrium ever since I started using Cyclone anyway. With Hatred on, I was losing damage every time I clip the boss with it.
can someone upload a video of a t15+ legion? i gave up on the build now because i cant possibly imagine that this build is able to remotely clear it.

now, my gear isnt toptier minmaxed yet, still missing empower 4 but im honestly not even close to clear legions.

rerolled CoC assassin and got the 150 kills achievement in the second map already.

golems are my favorite build and i'd love to keep playing it but i also dont wanna miss out on the league mechanic.

i'd be really happy if someone can show that it is indeed possible with the right set up and min maxed gear to be able to clear legions.

I feel like we're going to struggle with the league mechanic this league. I'll upload a video once I get my +2 support gems craft to show how close we can get but overall i feel like the league mechanic is generally bad for us.

The build got several buffs, and the primordial cards are a welcome change, we just don't interact well with the content.


If you're intent on doing the league mechanic as golems I recommend fire.



EDIT: Has anyone else noticed the golems seeming to cancel out of cyclone in order to cast an icicle blast? I feel like that behavior is occuring but can't tell if they're finished with the animation or not. If this is occuring, really can't recommend brutality this league especially because of how it interacts with the league mechanic. It sims better dps, but snowballs won't break white monsters out of stasis.

I don't think that flame golems are doing much better as legion unfreeze stage puts them in close range to enemies and they use their low dps attacks instead of magma balls
Well, I started doing T16, and holy crap the Legion Monoliths are seriously overtuned.

Was on a Hydra map with very easy map mod. Monolith spawned a rare archer mob with "Powerful Crits", and that thing instant gibbed me right away. Went in again and got one shotted off screen. Went in the third time and had to kite behind this one wall to finally killed it.

I find it ridiculous and ironic that I lost two portals to a Legion rare, while Hydra melted within 6-8 seconds.

Current set up has me at 4669 HP with 1658 mana MoM and 342 ES. Also running defensive Stone and Flesh.

This feels especially awful because I feel that I can faceroll all of t15-16 VERY easily outside of Legion encounters.

Having the same experience, Now that I have my +2 support gems bow I'm facerolling to break the legion out. But the vaal/maraketh ones can easily kill the golems with redwave and chaos arrows respectively
Does anyone know if Multistrike is actually working with Ice Golem? PoB says no, and I can't quite tell in game if hes doing multistrike or not.
Multistrike is broken in PoB. It is working in game.


Multistrike is currently not working with ANY skills in PoB
