POE is not a FREE TO PLAY

I played PoE for free for a long time. All the patches, expansions, seasons and additional content. All for free. I used multiple mules to store items and trade to sell anything big.

Then I realized how many hours I spent playing this game for free, and I asked myself are you going to continue playing this game? I answer yes. So I donated/bought a supporter pack for QOL changes and to support them. A one time payment for massive QOL changes, but are not NEEDED but desired.

Stop whining and being a bottom feeder. You get too much for free IMO, go out and spend $15 and never whine again.

i been playing poe sense release , i have 40 bucks tied to this game , for the hours ive spent i wish i had 400 , but im broke and this game gives me the release i need from the world and i'd happy drop more if i could , i need a div tab still and a map tab as i only have a currency tab and stash tabs and last epoc looks like a poe rip off ment for a phone

When next time comes you pay for them so really you did pay both times

You may never pay them 10 cents Kappa but someone else is paying for you since the server cannot be ran without money from some person that plays this game

And i dont know about you but a game that is shutdown isnt free either since you cant play it to start with

no one said the game is 100% free to play from beginning to end to endgame. you can go from level 1 to 70, early game to endgame, beginning of the main story to the end of it, you can do all that with only an inventory full of items, completely self found, nobody says you have to collect everything you find, that is your decision and if you want to be a collector, then you most be willing to pay the price if what you are given is not sufficient.
the game is and will always be free to play.
free to play means the game does not require a payment to gain access to the game. free to play also means no subscriptions are required to play or keep playing the game, pay to win is a different story.
in theory, no matter what people say, poe is and WILL always be pay to win, as much as i don't want to admit that.
a player can make good use of these 4 free stash tabs and participate in events by making smart, space efficient investments.
the difference between stash tabs and microtransactions are that stash tabs provide a direct boost improvement that a robot could make use of, microtransactions appeal to our eyes and give us a boost of motivation, something that does not affect a robot, perhaps even make it worse because of performance.
being able to pay to get additional stats provide a direct boost that a robot could make use of.
this means that stash tabs and stat boosters + item adders are pay to win, but they aren't pay to play, nor is microtransactions.
the controversies saying that poe is pay to play are wrong, but thos who say the game is pay to win are technically correct, however, just because stash tabs make the game pay to win doesn't mean you can't play the game completely for free.
