Baldry, I see you are a experienced player of this build, can you please take a loock of my character (HDPgirl) and tell me if I did some wrong? because the characters feel good farming maps, but fails tanking bosses, (level 13 or 14 map bosses can kill me, In special pysical ones).
Maybe you can see some bad or can give me some tips.
TY and sorry for my bad english.

so, it's impossible to be res capped while using a spider belt + boots, while also having enough stats to use the gems required.

Yes. My character doesn't exist and the PoBs are all fake. You got us. Aren't you a clever fox. Damn Fake News. /eyeroll

replace sintrek's, with fenumus' spinnerets, you need 21 dex.

get a spider belt with 45 strength, good luck getting the res to be capped.

at least act like you're aware of what's available this league.

my pastbin from Path of Building. you can see my char in Delve from my account as well. "XTravlerX" i use aspect of spider, indigo, fenumus and all the stuff he shows IN DELVE and i am resi caped with all the gems.

EDIT: and yes i paid around 20-30 ex at least. BUT i started with the vertex version and with that you don't even need 10 ex (more like 2ex for all) and can kill uber elder and farm stuff to get the rest. i swiched first to indigo and now to aspect of the spider.

Hi thanks for sharing this info, I have a question, when you uses the spider web, are you able to active Wrath + Herald + Artic + Spider?

i am able to use:
artic armour
wrath
herald of thunder
purity of elements
discipline
aspect of the spider
if you took a sec and looked at the PoB link you would have seen that yourself.

you need a level 21 bloodmagic to be able to go lowlife. like this you can't even actived both life auras. i guess thats why your using a life flask?

we don't have much es so you need to avoid attacks. like dark forest map boss will easly kill me too if i don't move out of the spell. you can't just facetank everything. attack, move, attack, move if you can attack and don't get hit meanwhile just attack or if you get hit move more.
Aspect of the Spider is only for the extra tankiness from the leech on Fenumus Spinnerets (with +10% inc damage and slow of course) or am I missing something else?

Hey Cyrix,

thought I'd chime in with a huge THANKS! for a great build. I just finished killing Shaper on my first attempt on any character. I watched your shaper video on page 1 and then said WTH! and proceeded to own him!

Onward and upward!

BTW, any secrets or tips for Hall of the GrandMasters? It's the only map I haven't finished. Tried once in mid 80s but failed (my fault, I'm sure!).

HotGM is a bit different - one needs to understand what is about.

Basically it's a pvp map - all enemies in the map are basically player characters. Those characters got designed by Backers of the Game - and obviously some of those Backers made the most haggard/abusive characters they could.

So the map itself from the get-go is more about knowing PvP/Character mechanics then anything else.

The next thing you ought to know is that whenever you open the map the characters/enemies you encounter are drawn from a large pool of those characters people who backed made.

Sometimes you get really annoying ones - sometimes you can breeze through the map. A good example of that would be that some of the enemies you will encounter will be characters who have taken the 'Chaos Innoculation' Keystone - making them immune to chaos damage. So if you play a Chaos-Damage based character (we are not one! just stay with me for the examples sake) you are basically screwed - other times you won't meet a CI Enemy and you are good to go.

Now - For us the whole map and 99% of the enemies are not a problem. One thing to keep in mind though is that a lot of Characters you will meet have 'culling strike'. Meaning they will instantly kill you if you are below 10% HP. And since we are are LowLife we tend to be always below 10% HP.

-> 1. So deactive one of your Auras linked to Bloodmagic. I tend to deactive Discipline.

The second issue are characters with maxed out spellblock - TheSpiderQueenByDemi - Demi being a fairly famous PoEStreamer who made the build - is one of those annoying characters we can't beat out of the gate with our usual skills.

That Enemy does only attack you with a whimpy dagger - but triggers a world of spells when you hit them - and block almost all the damage of your hits. The way to beat this character is to use a degeneration effect - something like Righteous Fire or - thats what I would recommend - a scorching ray setup.

-> 2. Take the 'Balefire' unique scepter with you - socket into it 3 supportgems for scorching ray. The Scepter itself grants you lv25 Scorching ray -> proceed to just burn the SpiderQueenByDemi down.

That's basically it. If you don't happen to stumble onto the SpiderQueen or a character like her this build can just blitz through the map as usual.

-> 3. Otherwise play as aggressive as you can.

Fantastic! Followed your advice and put Burning Damage+Elemental Focus+Efficacy into a Balefire. Had the exact mob you mentioned above, Demi, and took him out with this. Actually had two at the same time, but can't remember the name of the other. They didn't hurt much as long as I was attacking.

HoGM was my last map, so now have Atlas of Worlds achievement for the first time!

P.S. I tanked Dark Forest boss (and all 4 guardians), no problem; but, I don't use Spider Aura. I follow the OPs build guide for Vertex, as near close to 100% as I can.

you tanked the wolf spell and the bleed?

I have to admit that I don't know the encounter that well. I just know that it died quick. The only reason I remember it is that a guild member asked for help and I went in with him on his last portal, but died to the adds without actually finding the boss.

I was determined to learn it, so I bought a couple of the maps, but killed the boss the very first time (after finding him in the "center" area) in what seemed like a normal, quick, boss kill.

I then invited the guildie and killed it again in quick fashion with both of us there. I read up more on the encounter, later. Boss never went into an invulnerable phase and I don't remember any special attacks. Maybe he's just dying to quick?

yes thats probly it. as i had less dmg i could not kill the boss fast enough. 1. he goes invulnerable like you said and hit's like a truck in that phase (and your bleeding) 2. he uses a spell which folows you (he throws woles at you) and if you tank that more than 3 secs you will prob die, at least i could not leech enough to tank it.
going to try this build out. got 6L shavs, 4 pens. wanna do indigon version. still got roughly 15ex to spend, watcher is 4 ex, indigon rougly 40c... can get there.

my question is coz i didnt find out anywhere, why do we need that watcher's eye with ES gained on hit? does it triger ascendancy regen from wicked ward? coz roughly 25es per hit does not seems like much with our attack speed unless we go barrage then it might be somewhat noticable.
also what is the ascendancy order? went with profane bloom, had to get Mark of submition to get curse on hit somewhere and now reaching 38 to get curse on hit.
also what about using chain with Frenzy? dunno if it would curse with chained projectiles but seems nice to have too
