" Better is a bit hard to define, really. The Indigon will give you a lot more damage, yes. That being said though: the build is not starved for damage especially once you get some good jewels. To put this into perspective: Uber-Elder can be farmed without an Indigon just fine. The Uber-Elder kill from User YT_HB on the OP for example was done without an Indigon. The Indigon will require some investment on the talent tree - mostly to pick up some %increases to max mana. The Indigon will bring the damage of the build to another level and might help you compensate for not picking up some jewels, sure - but if you are not lv95+ the talentpoints are really thin for making good use of Indigon. In general the Indigon comes at a cost of resists, talentpoints etc and general investment like that. It's an option for the very Endgame when you are otherwise basically done with jewels, talentpoints etc but want to take this build up to lv100. Some people go for the indigon first before they finish their talentree - and complain then that they are squishy or that delves past dlv 300+ feel a bit 'rip-y'. the hardest part of this build for me was getting and balancing the resistances up to that 110 cap. Damage comes standard even if you forego forbidden power/an atziri's flask. And being LL you're obviously tanky.
also update, im 95 now have killed shaper several times, no deaths in any of them so far, even one where i derped and tanked a smash but im specced into vile bastion so having 8k es saved my ass... im down to depths 355 in solo delve and I don't see me stopping any time soon. I fell behind for about a week since I was waiting seemingly forever for the mines to merge to delve on this character after I rerolled into it. I make some slight modifications to the build before delving though, namely going ball lightning + gmp instead of arc with the lightning warp setup for the spread and immense amount of es on hit that feels like old vaal pact, essentially you won't die unless you get straight one shotted. I may have to look into a three dragon's if I find the freeze necessary going deeper though.. corpses are the biggest annoyance and the only thing that makes me sweat at this point since the build doesn't destroy them by default. This is going to be a super basic question but does "adds # to # lightning damage to attacks" help us? I saw it on your gear and on my gear I have a "13 life gained on each enemy hit by your attacks". So I was wondering if both of those are beneficial for this build, or do "attacks" only refer to skill gems that have "attack" at the top?

" Nope, does nothing for us. I just have it on my gear because well - it was on there. Anything 'to attacks' is pretty useless for us. Attacks are not Spells. We need stuff that works for Spells. (or for both, obviously) |

" Thanks for the Feedback. As for corpses: You could run a Call of the Brotherhood. (converts 40% of our Lightning Damage to Cold) and a Herald of Ice instead of Thunder. That way you should shatter almost all white mobs with ease. Since Penetration is applied to the enemies you might want to take the lightning penetration gems out of the pens and replace them with a generic elemental support gem like controlled destruction or something along those lines - so you get the most out of your converted lightning damage. Another Option would be to socket Knockback into your BallLightning + GMP setup. That way nothing will get close to you to explode at your feet. Also regarding the resists: You don't need to go that far up I feel like. Since we will have Endurance Charges (which provide all Res) during mapping/Delving we have a bit of leeway. " Aiming is one thing - but its actually more important to know that arc doesn't hit stuff behind your character. So put your back to the Clone with the Mirror. Did you have a Reflect-Immunity setupt going? Watchers Eye with 'less reflected elemental damage taken while affected by purity of elements' + yuugols pantheon + sybills ring (or a shaped ring)? If that also doesn't work replace Arc with Nova for this fight. Without forbidden power we have no AoE and its really save to use against her. |
