Hey Cyrix, I am thinking of just playing the Vertex version for now, this would mean that I wouldn't need to 6L my chest aye?
Would you think the vertex version of this build is still tankier and has more DPS than the life base elementalist "teleport behind you" character?
I have cleared much of the game life based, going to spec over to this when I have the currency built up, wondering if the vertex version is still going to be an upgrade, especially on defense, but also DPS?
You are correct. You do not need a 6link then. You can leave your Frenzy even 3linked. GMP is not required. (put the quality for attackspeed instead on culling strike) I still like to use GMP because it makes it easier to get the Frenzy charges and we are not exactly starved for links. I would put the Frenzy in the boots (4green is easy to get on sintrek). That way you have 6 sockets left for quality of life stuff. Like the cwdt + immortal call. And an arcane surge setup with either orb of storms or phase run with the other 4 sockets. You can choose what you want there, really.
Yeah. There is no contest between the 'teleports behind you' build and this one in any case. Both tankyness and damage are way better. In fact a couple pages ago someone posted there corrupt minotaur facetank video with only the bare minimum gear equiped. (invested something like 3 or 4ex total I think? Including the poets.)
You can check that out.

Appreciate all your help! I am thinking of doing a 5L Frenzy with a curse on hit setup as I don't have the corrupt gloves yet, do you see any downside of that, maybe I am missing something there?

Thanks for all your help.
The only downside is that only what gets hit by your Frenzy attacks will get cursed. With the gloves, all of your skills will curse on hit including Arc, BL, etc. But that's a good solution until you're able to get the gloves.
Really enjoying the build so far and I appreciate all the answers in the thread! I've read every single page :D
Can you take a look at my profile and see what I can improve on my Indigon setup? I just want to squeeze out all the damage I can in this build, and the Indigon seems like a good way to do that. I know I need more levels/better rolls on my gear, but anything else besides that?
My Indigon calc shows about 477% spell dmg increase after about 4 seconds, which is a bit lower than yours but surely still more damage than the Vertex version, no?
All these ppl trying to minmax indigon... when most of them hardly ever have a decent uptime on the buff while mapping or delving, i can count on one hand the number of encounters where indigon wold actually matter or help.

I have both setups ready to go, I just feel like Indigon would give better performance on guardians/shaper/uber elder

Ofcourse... just saying that i'm not sure its worth the price of 1-2 lvl 4 enlightens. For example when i do shaper he sits in his invuln phase most of the time without the indigon, hardest part of the fight is getting back.

To be fair you need only one stack of Indigon to make up for the SpellpowerNodes in the Witch starting Area. Which one can get from Indigon in less then one second - and the dps outside of bosses is more then enough with either setup.
But in principle I am with you - to many tryhards lol. xD I mentioned it before but for some reason people go apeshit over this item and fanatically want to make use of it - even though they don't really grok it in the first place.
I just made my peace with it. I think by now all Information is in the OP - it certainly is in the thread. ^^
Indigon comes at a steep price - both for the enlightens AND defensivly. It has much less ES then a good vertex - and no evasion. Also with the vertex you wont need the enlighten in the gloves and can link a blind with Herald of Thunder. Or just on your Frenzy which is also a huge defensive boost.
I scratch my head constantly when people here are like: I feel a bit squishy! Halp! - Then I take a look, half the required items are missing but! BUT! JESUS FUCK at least they got an Indigon on their frikkin heads. xD
It's unbelievable and somewhat hilarious. :P
