How durable is AG? Never used one before and my main concern is my horrible gameplay letting it die and having to constantly feed it gear.

What spectre do we use before we get to slave drivers? it say's to use them at act 4 and wondering what I should summon?

I just used the Goatmen Fire-Eaters from the area after the prison, until I could get Slave Drivers.
