So GGG sells 80% of their company to Tencent and all we got was being able to attack in place which was already possible with numlock?
Congrats did you sink all the money you got into a simple feature almost all ARPG's had? *claps*
Well I for one stopped playing as of the other day, so honestly couldn't care about a new? feature. PoE might go another year but eventually it will crash and burn thanks to Tencent, like poor Paragon that had oh so much potential to be a great moba.
I'm pretty sure 3.3 isn't JUST this, get your head back where it belongs, it's a few feet low and behind.
Genius, it's the only update we've heard of since we heard Tencent pretty much bought out GGG that hasn't been on the front page, nor have we got any more news about it and a very few select questions which were not questions 70% of PoE players wanted answered, we wanted more details not a half baked pie. It basically tells us there is things GGG doesn't want us to know.
Anyway enjoy your game that is going to eventually end, I find it sad that a game company accepts someone to buy 80% of their company, not 1-49% not 50% but 80% and thinks they're not going to get screwed over, GGG must of been desperate for money and wanted a retirement. Honestly haven't heard of a game company selling that high of a majority stake for a while, might as well call Path OF Exile a game owned by China because Tencent basically owns it and as soon as they want to make a change GGG will have to bend over and take it. Now if they sold 40% then hell nobody would care, GGG would still be the decision makers and Tencent would of only invested into GGG because they wanted to support them but honestly if they wanted to do that they wouldn't of bought 80% majority stake. Smelling a Paragon epidemic.
So... have you uninstaled PoE and deleted all of your characters yet, or is the hypocrisy holding you back?

Does it work with Whirling Blades? ;-D
Movement skills will not lock onto the target and always move the player in the direction of your cursor.
Hold on hold on hold on. Flame Dash will actually work now even if I click further than it's max lenght? Why is no one freaking out over this. This is a game changer! So many deaths from flame dash fizzles...

When i play a character with two damaging skills, e.g. Barrage/Ice Shot, i'll bind Barrage to LMB and IS to RMB. In this case, i cannot use the numlock trick, because that would mean i cannot move anymore. I know its kind of risky to use LMB for movement and for a skill. But binding a namelock skill to anything other than a mouse button would also feel clunky imho. How do you guys do that?

So just to clarify, does that mean that e.g. Leap Slam will always perform a jump with this, regardless of how far the mouse cursor is away from the character? Especially when it's too far away? If yes -> perfect. ^^

I am freaking out because that's what I always felt needed to be improved. \o/

You not knowing anything about business and how Tencent's model primarily works (leaving the golden goose alone so it can lay more golden eggs) doesn't make it GGG's problem to bend over backwards to justify their decision, and maybe some of us think it's better they have a big safety net to fund their brainchild than the frankly vacuous support of half this playerbase whenever every new update comes out.

Question 1: Is this available for all skills or skill slots?
Edit: This has been answered on reddit as 'yes - all skill slots'.

Movement skills will not lock onto the target and always move the player in the direction of your cursor.
Question 2: This is (far as I know/remember(*)) not how it currently works if I use 'attack in place'. So this is an additional feature for movement skills in general or somehow linked with the new feature?
(*) Recent example: I clicked (Shield Charge with shift lock) on a Lieutenant in a Izaro fight just when it ended. Due to the fight ending the lieutenant was moved to its platform. The click (in the middle of the arena) instead moved me to the platform moving the lieutenant downwards.

Thank you! I always use my num pad when writing numbers in poe trade and so forth. It was annoying having to do the num lock trick to attack in place. MUCH appreciated feature <3.

I use left mouse for 'movement only', right mouse for movement skill and keyboard for all other things including main attack. I have shiftlock for everything. IMO/IME using keyboard for anything spammable (main attack) is easier than using mouse button - need to use the "good" (easy to press) keys though.
And some people use keyboard (with mouse position but not mouse button) for movement.
No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!
