" I just can say what the only reason is i'd sell out my company shares at 80%. That would be if i wanna retire from what i am doing right now. And please, you dont really think any of the accuired now private wealth would really go into a new game? there is way more different ways to fund a new game tbh. And tbh selling 80% is basicly the same as selling all of it, wouldn't you agree? |

all i know is i have bought supporter packs and points to support the game, not GGG. as long as the game stays basically the same, i will gladly continue to do so, but if it changes too much i will have to pull out completely

" They are NOT investors. Tencent is the new OWNER of GGG. " I'll make this simple for you: Tencent ===> resources (read:money) ===> GGG Players ===> money ===> Tencent ---> crumbs for GGG They no longer need OUR support to run their business, so what exactly are we supporting by throwing money at GGG? Short answer, nothing but people like me who've spent far less money on PoE than what a lump sum or monthly subscription would've been. But hey, if you want to keep throwing money at Tencent so that I can keep playing an f2p PoE, go ahead. Just know that PoE's well-being no longer has a relation to how much money you decide to dish out; you're simply paying to let others keep having an f2p game to play. Tencent alone will more than make sure that PoE stays alive, with or without you. Last edited by Anonymous1749704#5648 on May 22, 2018, 11:12:15 PM

" I actually agree its his total choice, but I find it interesting that because GGG was transparent and sent clear communication about the future plans, they are being held to the fire. Lesson here appears to be "Dont ask Dont tell" |

The words "Majority stake" are only good when a dev company is completely under water. I'ma take this as a bad omen. They "claim" GGG will retain development freedom, but majority ownership tends to give people a god complex.

I barly write in this forum, but that news and that they selled 80% of their stake worries me. They basically selled the company. I wish you would be more transparent GGG and also told the community what the "majority" is (well at least the shareholdings are online visible) and why you decide this. There must be a big positive thing for the game or not? My assumption is that there is no big positive thing for the game, otherwise you had wrote about that.
For me it is just a matter of time, when Tencent will influence the game. With that in mind, I can not support the game anymore. |
