Skill Revamps - Part 1

In my humble opinion the only way to make charged dash a interesting and fun skill to use you'll have to make it so that you can use it while moving. Otherwise it will just always be a worse Blade FLurry if you have to stand still to channel it.
risky move to come out with it so early, but I appreciate it a lot. Best developer team

Awesome that you guys are finally addressing some of the oldest noobtraps in the game. Way to go!

But please take your time. Test every change thoroughly. I'd rather see only five skills revamped per year, if it meant that all five were FULLY tested for both end-game viability and funness (important!).

After all, unfun mechanics are an effective means for limiting the amount of abuse of an OP skill, but that is not good game design.
Wash your hands, Exile!
Well this is what a lot of ppl (i guess) wanted for quite a while, so they should be pleased now :D
Quit after Legion, rejoined PoE to see what the game's like now in 3.12.
Some skills can simply be removed completely as more up-to-date skills have eclipsed them.

Elemental hit, for example, may work for ranged attacks but overall it has been completely eclipsed by Wild Strike.

Remove a *LOT* of the reduced damage limitations on many supports like fork, chain, ect. They're only good for clearing mobs, and even without the pointless damage nerfs they would not increase single target damage appreciably - but would remove the necessity for gem swaps before big boss fights.

And, of course, as always - remove the insane spike damage from bosses/unique mobs.
Patch Notes 3.15:
Fixed a bug where players believed the game was playable. This has been corrected and made retroactive.
Patch Notes 3.19:
Fixed a bug where players adapted to 3.15. This bug cannot be corrected, so we have implemented a 90% reduction in item access as a punishment.
Let's hope the overall revamp of skills is extensive. The list of skill gems almost no one uses is now rather large.

Awesome communication. Thanks.
Have you thought about changing Shield Charge and Reckoning to also do damage based on your shield's defences just like Spectral Shield Throw, since that is a mechanic you can now use, and if you have thought about it, can you share any reasons why you haven't changed it yet?

Hi GGG,

my 2c would be to also look at complimentary skills again. I know that this boat might have sailed, but I loved the time when you had to think about using a single target skill *and* a clear skill.

Sounds like you should try bows. Bow users all need Barrage in addition to what they actually want to play :-)

Seriously though, +1 to this comment. And a new alternative to Barrage would be really nice.

How about a "Heavy Draw", that charges up the power level like Blade Flurry, but for a single arrow only, with no AoE? Nice for powerful bleeds.
