Remove the lab, it is what made me quit Abyss and now I am torturing myself
note: you = proponents of Lab removal in general
The Lab is working as intended. It's a slightly challenging content (for some builds more than for others) but it offers a lot of rewards and power. Outside of T16 guardians, Shaper, Elder and the Lab, there is no challenge anymore. 99% of the game can be face-rolled with SSF gear, but you want to remove the remaining 1% because it's an obstacle to total facerolling? The Lab doesn't even stop your progression (in a 'hard' game it should), as it runs in parallel with the quest content. You can ignore it till you are 90+ and then run through all the labs in 30 mins with almost no chance of dying. You can buy a carry in trade leagues. But that's not enough? You want easy Ascendancy points to be just thrown at you, by doing the same faceroll thing you do 99% of the time? And I'm not even opposed to an alternative way to obtain Asc pints, but it should be more expensive in terms of grind than doing the proper game, as designed by the developers. Like 1 exa per two points expensive, payable to the in-game royal tax collector, conveniently placed at the entrance of the Labyrinth. Lab has some problems, but they are not related to traps or difficulty: 1.) It's prone to DC-ing you. I sometimes have lag spikes, which cause no real harm in maps, but for some reason when in Lab I get DC-ed. 2.) The trials to get to Uber are too RNG and can take too long (in SSF) 3.) You can't trade while in Lab When night falls She cloaks the world In impenetrable darkness Last edited by morbo#1824 on Mar 27, 2018, 4:43:56 AM

Better players have better gear - and you agree with that concept. So how it is any different from 'better players have better characters' via ascendancies?
Current game design is as such that ascendancies you can skip while bad gear will get you nowhere. So you form a circular reference argument that actually is contradictory. Ascendancies are not content. These are pure player power. If you cannot obtain them - you wont be able to experience content anyway. Beating normal cruel and merc lab is easier than t3 map. Uber izaro might be more difficult but if you are.afraid of him you are not.ready for.endgame anyway. So what is your point again? |

" Tranlation I wasted the time to not be bad at this teribad content no one likes so you should too. Seriously stop freting and make a high regen MOM build LOL it and spec out afterward. Its not hard due to powercreep now, just bad. Last edited by Zalhan2#1986 on Mar 27, 2018, 8:57:10 AM

Remove the lab ladder or made something with already.
Or rename it a 'one no-life legacy equip nerd ladder' |

I used to be a strong proponent for the removal of the lab.
Experience and wisdom changed that outlook even before the changes. I don't look forward to the lab, but I don't agonize over it anymore. And with the changes the first two labs are a cakewalk and the third is still pretty easy. Uberlab still has that feeling of accomplishment when you complete it, and is not entirely necessary for a lot of builds even if you can't do it. Maybe eventually I will even evolve into making a jugg character and actually farming the lab for high key runs. But I am still in the place where I just do it for the Ascendancy and the 1 in 10,000 chance I could get a helm enchant that actually works with my build. I don't care about collecting keys, and don't use the lab as a source of resources. Last edited by Slaanesh69#4492 on Mar 28, 2018, 11:31:41 AM

" Better tuck that in, your envy is showing. And, no, I am not a racer or a ladder-runner. Last edited by Slaanesh69#4492 on Mar 28, 2018, 11:31:56 AM

I hated lab. Now I like it. I feel thrill especially when I'm playing Raider. Which is 1 hit man down char.
Take buffs from pantheon like decrease over time dmg taken and life flask refill after time. Be patient. Take rest. Go through traps with full life and full flasks. You can easily leap or teleport to safe places. Watch on YouTube Izaro mechanics. Watch it 5 times. Observe moves. Dodge. Attack. Dodge. Attack. I'm casual. I had to learn it. I did it. It was painful but anyone can progress. Lab splits players on exiles and crying nubs. Before I killed Shaper first time last season (my first season ever playing this game) I had watching videos with mechanics explanation 7 times. Than I killed him in 4th approach. |

" Having zero problem farming lab, 57 runs out of 100 and havnt died. Don't see the issue, its very learnable and profitable too. |

Just do what I do and enjoy the Eternal Laboratory for what it is.
