That's because your are looking at the dps of the skeletons pop by the vaal skill.

In POB select Vaal skeleton, then skeleton instead of vaal skeletons

Do you know if it is possible to craft +1 to skellies and +1 to intelligence gems on amulets? Looking at PoEDB (https://poedb.tw/us/mod.php?cn=Amulet) +1 to skeletons is an Elder modifier while +1 to intelligence gems is a hunter modifier. So I guess it is not possible to craft both? I am wondering how +1 to skeletons can be on an elder item? I guess not being able to get both only relates to delve crafting?

Awakener Orbs let you consume 1 item to give another item double influence (assuming it had a different influence already)... and as long as each item only has one influenced mod, those mods carry over and the other 2-4 are rerolled... that's how the item he linked is Elder on the left icon and Hunter on the right icon... sounds super expensive, but so do most of his pieces to push lvl 30-31 vaal skeles...

And if you can't find the right base you need, you can give any item influence with the new exalted orbs...

So you would need to annul two amulets to only have respectively +1 to skeletons and +1 to intelligence gems. Then consume one item with an awakener orb and use the orb on the other item which at the same time rolls 2-4 modifiers. Think I will need to find a video as it seems a bit confusing to me and also expensive to mess up.

Sorry for reiterating you - I'm trying to get my head around it.

Last night I was playing with other ways to boost everything even further and I did swap out fortify from my zombie link for guardian with kingmaker. Holy moly it amplified everything even further. More dmg, more survival everything. It's expensive but well worth imo.

You do risk the guardian dying and losing everything. Most expensive piece was kingmaker at around 160-180c. I can tell you all I ran last night was around 40-50 juiced as F T16s and it never once budged from full health. I was running full sextant'd, alch, vaal, scarabed + zana modded T16s. As I have it linked in my zombie links it's supported with minion life and meatshield so it's just a buff bot really. Still gives zombies fort, now gives all your minions fort, including you, and also gives everything cull, 50 crit mult and depending on the rest you gear it with some movespeed, endurance charges if it gets hit etc.

Yes, using awakener's orb on a hunter amulet with +1 int skill gems (costs ~1ex) and an elder amulet with +1 skeles, hope no new prefix is added (very unlikely) and metacraft. I annulled off +1 int skill gems mod twice before finally getting it on my last try. Another way is hunter's exalt orb slamming after blocking 3rd suffix (with craft) on ilvl82+ NON-Elder influenced amulet but its really hard to meet all the requirements and there are 8 possible mods you can even hit on just the Hunter prefix alone.

That's the gist of it... there are some guides on reddit, and I think some streamers livestreamed how to do it a couple weeks ago, before they bugfixed "Prefixes/Suffixes Cannot Be Changed"... for awhile there was a bug where you could carry over a bunch of T1 prefixes OR suffixes with that added on the other side... people were printing mirror-tier items...

Now there's actually a new bug as a result of the fix, I think, where the new exalted orbs ignore crafting mods entirely, including the ones that are supposed to restrict the mod pool (Can't roll attack modifiers, etc)

Definitely research before risking your orbs...

Thanks for this... I really wanted to add Animate Guardian to my build, but the possibility of adding a Hungry Loop to fit it was minimal, after I geared myself for 5EX and managed to chaos res cap myself, on top of everything else...



Easiest thing to upgrade, at this point, is probably the weapons, since my resistances/etc aren't dependent on them... maybe I can get +2 weapons, or just more minion mods...

Still got a ways to go on gem XP/etc... only started mapping yesterday... 3rd Metamorph character (Storm Burst, Arc Mines, this)... loving it... very different from my cobbled together Necromancer in Blight League

NOTE: I'm considering dropping Pride for suvivability in red maps, once I finish leveling myself/skills... right now, I have 4500 HP, 750 ES, 750 unreserved Mana out of 1700ish

BTW i gave a try to swap off melee splash for multistrike on map clear ( skeles - brutality - frenzy - minion damage - impale - multistrike ) and found out its really not worth it, skeleton's build-in splash too weak on high tier maps and splash gem doing a very well.
