Item Splitting Beastcrafting Recipe Disabled

edit: There's a common misconception in the community that our balance team doesn't play Path of Exile. They actually do play it, a whole lot. We have people with level 100 hardcore characters, multiple famous community members who have come to work for us and you may not even know it. The minimum requirement to join our QA team is 1000 hours of PoE experience, and we still turn people with that prerequisite away if they're not good enough at the game. Our design, balance and QA team are experts at Path of Exile.

ROLL BACK you fucken idiots and sack your "test team" because they obviously suck and are not competent.

You just don't seem to get how much the community hate this game that they'd rather take every opportunity to fuck it over than play it and its all your own fault. Sure at one point you appealed to a niche market of grinder type players but that has grown to include normal/ average players and each and EVERY league you keep fucking them over with exploit after exploit that the rich use to get richer and the average player gets fucked.

Its no wonder the vast majority of your player base really hate you, go spend some time in public chat to get a taste and see for yourself.

ROLL BACK and have a good think about where your game is headed. Rework league rewards to make them actually accessible to the vast majority and not just the 2% that have no life to get them.

Also, despite this whole fiasco being, well, a fiasco, the over-reaction is real :D. While i understand the pain of lab-farmers, they're probably the ones that'll get hit the most by this - and it won't even be this hard, as i'm sure the lab will still be profitable, and the duped enchants will dissipate over time. There aren't millions of them out there, people.

And that goes for the rest of the economy - the impact of this dupe will be seen, but i'm pretty sure won't be as massive as many in this thread seem to believe.
Yeah, some guys got insanely rich off this, but rolling the entire thing back will hurt more people than it'll help.

The entire thing is a mess, but what you people are suggesting will just make things worse.

So yeah, i don't know whether or not my voice counts in the whole "community feedback" thing, but i'm gonna say it anyway: GGG, don't do a rollback. Cheers.

And I can't fault those people. They were using a new recipe. It's not like they found an OBVIOUS exploit due to a bug, just something GGG didn't intend. People can't be mindreaders. The 6Ls were fine, and as you said the Elder/Shaper items were the problem. Also the lab mods screwed over lab builds for sure.

Regardless of what happens next, the economy is rekt in Bestiary. Will it recover? Possibly, but long after all of the more speedy among us are done with the league.

A rollback, even one targeted against only certain players, will be difficult to implement and could *also* have negative side effects elsewhere. There are too many variables. Even if you did something extreme like block all accounts that exploited this problem from this league for its duration you will STILL have a fucked up economy because of trading.

The mechanic fucked up the economy already but only for some people? Let it fuck up the economy for all people - there is NO acceptable recovery from this that isn't extensive and problematic. 6 links and divines are easy to get this league? Call it an experiment.

The real problem is this recipe might *still* have additional problems that have yet to be discovered. People are clever, people have thought of *everything* right? Maybe they haven't - we might find a NEW problem a few weeks from now that is still exploitable even WITH a higher cost recipe.

Just accept that the league has a problem and let it settle itself out. We'll cope. The game can handle this kind of strange market for certain items - it will not be a lesser game for it, just a very strange league compared to other leagues.

just LOL!! I WANT THINGS EASY. i have no supporter packs, play this game for free, casually - that is and want all the rewards the guys spend all day playing. wah life isnt fair. things should be easy and free and my opinion should matter!!
