In my opinion,the capture process is one of the main mechanics for this league. The balance between leaving to much life left, the risk of breaking free, enrage and killing the monster before throwing the net. It's not the problem of community if some players are in need of resurrection-nets, because they kill everything off-screen. Just in the Vorici low life mission they need to change their playstyle for a short moment. But d'oh...the speed meta.... please don't do this, people these days are used to have everything easy, the idea of capturing beast being difficult in some situations is good, and with the current delay on net that give you time bring beast to low HP even if you oneshot it, the capturing doesn't need any more changes

" same thought here. also, no. i had plenty o'doubts about the league, the fun it would provide... and hell beastcrafting is fun just for the lulz (only really using swap unique item hoping for something good) .. but catching the beasts ? a real nice thing to. You can't expect to catch everything 100%, and that's good. Great even. Cuz then when you actually catch something, it's fun. also, no. Like really. No. Don't make it easy. Mb targetting should be improved, dunno; but no to catching dead stuff and making the game easy as f*ck. |

That's the first time in poe i don't feel penalized for not playing the top tier meta decks with 100% efficiency. I like the slower feel to it and i'm sure many casual players agree with me. |

Most peoples who choose NO even don't have char with lvl 70+. This is like league statistic only, not real poll. 80-90 lvl only 5% of all peoples. Even if all of this peoples choose Yes final results - 99% NO and 1% Yes.

Allowing you to disrespect the new mechanic and go warp speed as usual shouldn't be rewarded, the three second capture window and range at which you can throw a net isn't unreasonable as it stands. The only way I could agree is if these new nets are significantly rare as in sharing the divine/exalt tier in drop rate. I'd welcome the opportunity to sell those off and not use them myself. |

Using 3 totems I have been failing with capturing rare beasts to start with, but not because it was impossible, it just took a few attempts and some experimenting, just like with any new mechanic introduced in game. Perhaps instead of wasting time complaining that something is broken people should spend some time learning and putting some work into mastering it. Timing and understanding how you deal damage is the key here, don't we all love this game because it challenges us all the time? Dear devs, we love your sadistic ways that make you and POE different. So far we have been learning how to deal with whatever murderous things you throw at us and we keep coming back for more because you challenge us and we accept each challenge with enthusiasm and a healthy dose of caution. (Dominus was giving me nightmares when you first brought him in...) I am absolutely sure that the majority of your player base is happy to learn and take a good old-school beating because we WANT to be challenged and not spoon-fed which is so often the case now. We chose to support you because the content you are introducing invites us to THINK FOR OURSELVES. Please do not lose the faith in your bunch of exiles, keep coming up with new ways of killing us and making us learn. If the majority is happy with how the mechanics work then they obviously work. They just require some sort of brain activity and not mindless buttons mashing. Not everyone wants to just faceroll and get lootz. We want to work for rewards. Thank you for another challenging league, we humbly accept our fails and just get better at understanding what get us murdered this time. Keep your games special. |

Looks like botters/RMTers/whiners are carrying it. Hurray for braindead clearspeed meta where even "captured" monsters are loot that can be picked up after the fact with no thought at all.

The entire point is to capture them alive, and to change game play up this league, if it's just screen clear after screen clear with no regard to beasts then going back and netting the corpses it is dull. Now should something be changed to help minion and totem builds out sure, tons of great ideas in this thread to do that, but making nets work on corpses isn't the right answer. |

From a Glacial Cascade totem point of view, I find it very difficult to capture red beasts. With all the adds spawning around the red mob, totems wont focus fire it and I have to get lucky to hit net at 5% life and hope that totems finish him, or he enrages and dies to totems right after... I maybe get like 1/10 of red beasts captured... Which would seem fine for me if it was same for everyone.
Its kind of the same thing with other mobs tbh, you never know which ones you can trap right away (low hp easy to kill in 3seconds) and which ones you need to wait and trap later. I'd say my overall trap% is 50%, while leveling it was fine, in maps not so much it seems... Not sure if I'd like it to be easier though, except that I know selfcasting/hitting people are going to have easier time of it... :P If that's called balance based on build choice, I suppose totems/minions are going to be a bad pick this league... Maybe make it "permanent trap" without the trap portion, make the mob just slower. Add capture chance based on mob mods, double mods with 50% capture chance, single mod with 25% or so. This way you could just trap all mobs at 100% and chance to trap would be same for everyone. |
