Yes, I don't like how many uncontrollable variables can be involved depending on your build. I use Solar Guards + Projectile Weakness, so it can get very frustrating trying to mouse-over a constantly-jittering target in the middle of a swarm of monsters. Also, because my computer is a potato my FPS is sub-30 depending on the map, and it can get really frustrating timing/aiming the net throw. Could there be alternative methods to fixing this? Of course. Do I care? NOPE. This seems like the easiest way of going about things, and I really don't care about... whatever everybody is trying to preserve -- I just wanna get my 40/40 challenges, buy every new unique and be done with this league; whatever makes accomplishing this goal easier I will support.

Nets absolutely need to work on corpses or the entire trapping mechanic needs a change.

Can't target boss beasts because they spawn 20 adds, some die near instantly, and overall its a major PITA for minion builds.

So true, It's not a hard thing anyway with the improvement to the time.
People voted "no" because the idea is silly. It's a Band-Aid fix for a chest wound.
No, players need to learn to slow down. This would defeat the purpose of this league if you are then able to just throw down "traps" after killing an enemy.

If this becomes a major concern then perhaps a rework on how you catch enemies needs to be addressed. Perhaps you can only catch the special types that appear on your map. Maybe you can accept hunt quests from einhar to force a specific monster to appear on maps you run. Maybe ditch the nets and once you kill a league specific enemy then it simply appears injured instead and is taken back. At least these enemies can be seen in advance.

I say no, I'm a casual player and personally I think it should be a choice made when you start a zone on whether you want to focus on capturing anything in the zone or just blow through it. I also feel like it will make it more possible to abuse the league mechanics by just blowing through the zones without a care in the world, then going back to capture the beasts you want. This would allow players to build super speed builds and kill everything then go back and capture the beasts they need for top end content, like beasts needed for spirit realms, etc...

Atleast that's my opinion on the matter.
I voted no just because I don't agree with the "new net" approach.

I agree some "passively attacking" builds still have a hard time capturing even with the 3-second window. I myself is playing totem (semi-passive) and it kills beasts from time to time, before I see the beast and throw a net. I can image auto-bombers, summoners will be more difficult. So something has to be done.

But simply throwing in a new net does not solve this problem. If the net will be rare, then 95% of player base will have no access to it and it helps no one but those two or three "top players". If the net will be common, it will just turn to a roadkill league, where you pick dead animal corpses in exchange for items -- why not just make the "corpse" dropped as an item, say, "splinter of beast"?


My suggestion is, giving "passive" builds a way to avoid killing beasts, and not letting other builds abuse it. If, say, a melee attacker, doesn't bother throwing nets (we have a 3sec window now!) before one-shotting or two-shotting the beast, he simply does not want it or deserve it.

As regard for the way, I have a proposal: RARE beasts that will be killed by non-direct damage, e.g. minions, totems, traps, area secondary damage, instead are stunned for 2 seconds at low hp. They die after that if not captured.

im sorry, but this league is pretty annoying and not interesting. SO it doesnt matter if you add the net or not.
But in case you want to know, will you need to THROW and CATCH a DEAD beast or just GRAB and take its DEAD body??
