No, This recent change makes it plenty easy for people to capture monsters that they wish to capture.

maybe improve the performance, then we can think about the nets

Adding nets that capture dead beasts would completely trivialize the mechanic. There would be ZERO strategy around capturing monsters, and the league would return to it's normal "Kill everything as fast as possible" and would also make builds that clear mobs off-screen THAT much more powerful (as if they needed it).

From my causal gamer perspective, I think the best idea would be a skill that marks a beast for capture; gem level would determine the range of what you can capture; to prevent overuse, it could have a lengthy cooldown which would be tied to the instance (similar to Vaal skills). This was mentioned earlier (as a kind of curse) - I'm mostly just voicing support for that change.
That said, there's a lot of micromanaging with trying to keep the beasts alive - especially for builds that do indirect damage (minion-based, proc effects, etc) - so being able to take a dead beast would be a kinder option if a living one can't be marked. Although it would make it easier, I think the point of "catching" something, is when it's alive.
Dead beasts are only for making taxidermy mounts. Hey - there's an idea! lol |

No. Nets should go in the trash and that trash burned, then carried out to sea and thrown overboard so it never comes back again. The fact that you asked this question just shows how little in touch with the game and players who play the game. NOT FUN. Repeat after me. NOT FUN.
JFC just waiting 3 months for new league and hope this shit never gets dug up again. I really tried today, but the constant crashing (I tried on another computer, the same). The league has sucked any fun in path of exile out. Sucked it dry. JFC. I'm sure some people love it to death. I'm sure some people invested too much money into PoE to just take 3 months off and "hope" it clears up. The mechanics of the league are bad. They were pointed out before the league started. The stability of the league is horrible. I'm failing to see the good part of the league. There were ascendancy changes which is great, but between crashes and just skipping the capture mechanic all together it doesn't really matter. Last edited by Oranen#7332 on Mar 4, 2018, 8:12:12 PM

No please leave this how it is. You guys are the visionaries, the restrictions you set are what forces us to be creative. I like the adrenaline rush of trying to quickly capture a beast while cruising through a zone. The whole idea of bringing the beast back to life after killing it just makes the content nothing but an extra drop you can pick up after you clear the map.

Could you just make it that after killing enraged beast which managed to break net after reducing it HP to zero it would count as captured/you would have to throw net again to capture ?
I'm not one shotting beast or etc but on SR totems when all 3 of them will manage to get 8 stacks the capture "window" is very small which frequently leads in my case to their dead. And avoiding beast while in enrage is quite troublesome too aim and throw another net when there is 10 minions charging at you Last edited by Koler1993#5727 on Mar 4, 2018, 8:09:13 PM

I'm capturing maybe 1 in 3 attempts even with the change.
Mobs dying off screen before I even see them to capture them, mobs going from 1/2 health to dead while I'm trying to throw my net due to mirage archer crits. If there isn't some change I'll probably skip the rest of the league myself. Me catching dead creatures doesn't affect other people that want to catch live creatures. It's just not fun right now and I see it only getting worse as my build matures. Last edited by Qtkari#7599 on Mar 4, 2018, 8:10:20 PM
