Oni-Goroshi in Current League - are You gonna farm it or drop it?

it's been my starter build for nearly every league since its inception.

That sounds like an interesting path. Starting off in SSF then switch to trade league in early maps. You get the added challenge and more interesting SSF through the acts. Making those nice leveling item finds even more exciting and the lucky crafting tries more critical. Then still have the fun of "polishing" up the build in the trade league. I might have to try that.

Most definitely the Oni-Goroshi makes it significantly easier to run the 10 acts for obvious reasons (6L for main attack). Even if your build can't take advantage of "Her embrace" (not a fire skill) it still is great all the way into yellow maps or until you get a better 6L weapon or chest to use as your main 6L.

Farm one and use now as come PoE 2 this item will be history for importance. I wonder what GGG will do with it or will Uber Hillock be history. I haven't heard what GGG is planning to do with all 6L gear to compensate for the loss of the 6 linked sockets. We'll need a special bonus on these items to make the transition to 6L gem skills less painful.

GGG is trading 6L gear for 6L skills. The thinking on this is that you can switch gear without losing your 6L and that's good. The downside is that we'll need to find 6 socketed skills for all skills (not good). Or am I missing something?

Yeah, Oni-Goroshi cyclone slayer. Did it last league and killed AL6 with it before it got kinda iffy. Then, since i'm going SSF if I get lucky and find a soul-tether i'll switch to dual oni-goroshi jugg. Should be fun.

I too wonder. They really should keep it in the game. The dialog is fantastic. The most fun I've ever had playing this game has been going through the story line with an Oni-Goroshi.

My understanding is that there will be 2 story lines for progression. So, they could keep it. It will probably be less powerful without the 6L but, they could maybe do something like adding new unique mod or significantly less grinding to get to Uber Hillock or something?

i'm very nervous about how the oni-g will fair come PoE2. i'm comforted by the fact that even the beta's still a ways off, however. hopefully, it gets a buff of somesort when it happens. (actually, i think it can do with a bit of a buff now. but that's just my opinion...)

I would have to search throught my posts in search for thread about Jack the Hack and possible upgrading it. He spoke there.
