Oni-Goroshi in Current League - are You gonna farm it or drop it?
I'm trying to farm this but man.
10 hours in not a single unique. Maybe they nerfed the Hillock run again? |

"Uber Hillock is unlikely to show until a runner reaches level 8. Once you reach level 8, stop killing zombies and go straight to Hillock. Once a runner gets the sword, if you want more, then start a new runner to keep the rotation smooth. "Gratitude is wine for the soul. Go on. Get drunk." Rumi

" As soon as anyone reach lvl 7 run only for Hillock. There is no point waiting for lvl 8. I got lucky this league both OGs dropped before 7.5 but in previousl leagues on some chars i hit almost 9 but thats very rare to reach lvl 9. |

" It boils down to personal opinion, I think. I find beach running can be kind of fun and relaxing. Sort of a mindless Zen thing or a listen to music and drink alcohol thing. On the other hand unless one is playing SSF, it is probably going to be more efficient to farm the end game for the currency to buy an Oni-Goroshi than to farm the Twilight Strand. " Out of all my UH kills to date (I have farmed 21 swords over 2 years of leagues) I have had to go the full grind distance (level 9) 4 times so about 19% of the time. Sad Note: The OG sword grind will end come PoE 2. Even if GGG keeps UH in and gives us a 6L skill gem as the reward with so many skills I can see GGG foobar'ing it completely by RNG dropping a 6L skill gem and heavily weighting it to drop rarely used skills that suck to play. Grinding for a 6L skill gem just doesn't have the same impact as grinding for Charan's Sword. That's probably why Charan quit PoE so abruptly and dramatically had his main account wiped. "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..." Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration. " I dont think the 6L alone is a reason why this sword is a nice league starter weapon in SSF. The fact that its damage (and thus the weapon based attack damage of skills) is scaled with player level makes it a good choice in comparison to spells or minions. That will not change much with Path of Exile 4.0 (aka POE2). Masterpiece of 3.16 lore "A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body." Only usable with Ethanol Flasks Last edited by gandhar0#5532 on Jan 4, 2020, 3:16:53 PM

" I farmed 11 OGs and never reachd 9 lvl. |

Personally, I've farmed 8 across 6 leagues ('cause I don't play every league).
I think once I got to level 9. I like the sword because it's ideal for what it was meant for: It's a decent weapon. It's a 6L you can start with (much like the Tabula, although with stats), and it scales with you as you level. I also play SSF. I mostly did SSF even before the mode got added as an official option, but since then, I don't think I've bothered to make any character that wasn't SSF. And no, I don't ever migrate them to the trade leagues either. 'A Balrog,' muttered Gandalf. 'Now I understand.' He faltered and leaned heavily on his staff. 'What an evil fortune! And I am already weary.'
