[3.4] 4 6L Solar Guard Spectres + 3-5 7L Flame Golems | Fast Clear | Melt Bosses | Tank | Cheap

Well, I'm blown away by how strong spectres are. This is my first go with them, ever, and despite a few hiccups in the beginning (not realizing my desecrate gem level capped corpse level, leaving in spell echo, other dumb stuff), I swapped from leveling gear yesterday at 67 and am now at 85 just blowing through maps. I've done pretty gnarly rolled red maps and clear just as fast as a low yellow map, you are legitimately capped only by movement.

I have a few changes I'm thinking of trying out, I'd like to get CWDT-IC in the links somewhere, which will require an Unset ring. Also considering a Hungry Loop setup with Zombies (instead of CWDT/IC) since I randomly hit that on my helm during Merc Lab. I took Convocation off of CWDT, I like the control over the positioning more than the hands-off approach. I do agree with the other sentiments that it feels a bit squishier, but with good movement/positioning and convocation use, you really shouldn't be getting hit all that much. Just crossed 5K life, hoping to hit 6k by level 92-93 with better rings. Would also be nice to work in another Soul Eater gem for the spectres, I'm not sure how much better 2 would be than 1, but the 1 is insane in dense maps when it gets going, the spectres get to be double my character size and just destroy everything.

I'll make a video or two this weekend for the front page of the guide, I think when people see the clear speed/power on this it will get a lot more popular.

Glad your enjoying yourself. It is my first time too and I was also blown away! I never make guides but the build was so OP I decided I should share. It's kind of ridiculous and it may sound cheesy but the build is so OP that I cant get myself to start another character. I started a Pathfinder wander and got it to 80 and also a Bloodseeker berzerker with insta leech to 75 and ended up deleting the characters because what is the point. Spectres+FG are t0 clear speed, t1 tankiness, t0 boss killers. So they can do what the Pathfinder wander and berzerker can do but without the weaknesses.
In the Jewels section you said to use 1 of each of the primordials, but you linked 2 cobalt and one crimson. Is it better to have 2 cobalt instead of 1 of each?

Yes those are the exact jewels you should be using and the rare jewels are examples of jewels that should fill up the rest of the sockets.

3 flame golems + 4 solar guards is amazing, killing t15 bosses in a few seconds and for guardians/shaper etc just swap GMP for slower proj.

amazing clear speed and boss killing.

my gear right now
Spoiler

obviously have alot to improve like better helm, higher level on gems but its already very strong!

Is this helmet ok for golems? And that gem setup?
Do you have to run Shield Charge to proc EE or is it possible to go with Whirling Blades?
How important is really +2 level for the flame golems?

looking at https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Summon_Flame_Golem it looks like flame golems get very little damage from levels, more hp sure, but they are not very hard to resummon.
