Severe Fps Drops post 3.1
" Yep, pretty much the same thing as me. " It took a month to get a response, and when they do respond its just a simple are you having the issue still? As in they have no fix for it and expect it to be directly related to my pc (even though the similar issues seem to be plaguing a small number of the player base |

The one thing I thought is interesting: it's only the FPS dropping, not the network latency.

" Yeah, I'd been wondering myself if there was a connection in latency and FPS drops - I see some things like burning ground hitting my FPS, but never more than dropping to 110-ish down from 144 (with vsync enabled) but not the terrible stuff people are describing here. The one other thing that seems to be floating around is the question: is it the loot filter. If y'all are getting hit with this, try setting that to none or default for a bit, and see if that helps. I mean, yeah, it's gonna be a heck of a mess of loot, but should help eliminate that as a cause too. " Interestingly, that also shows a huge variance in frame times, not correlated to the occasional spikes in latency, so I'd definitely be interested to know if playing around with your loot filter made any difference. (eg: turn it off, turn off loot display totally with it on, etc) Last edited by SlippyCheeze#7036 on Jan 18, 2018, 11:27:04 AM

Swapping from Neversink to Stupid fat hobbit to no filter had no impact for me.

" If effectively turning it off (eg: "none", or "default") also does nothing, that shoots another theory out of the water. |

There has to be some common denominator here... Possibly the mobo / certain chipset or even software setting that is conflicting with their programming.
Everytime I turn on poe I can hear my pc's fans spin up to the highest speed and stay there. This isn't good! No other game does this! Not one! (and I have tons of games on Steam, battle.net, arc, origin, the list goes on) The only reason I am even bring this up is because it is not my responsibility to run a debug BUT we all have to have something in common that is causing this error. The 64bit .exe helped 'smooth' mine out a bit, but I believe the reason for this is giving PoE the ability to push wider info... or however you say it. :) I also have a better gaming laptop (its hers actually, and mine isn't low end in any way lol) and it runs even worse. Tell me how that makes sense. Is it my end? No. Do I have to test multiple high end gaming rigs to make sure its not the first two? Or am I just a sucker for believing all these previous posts have no clue how to change settings? I doubt everyone is that noob... at least I hope. Where am I going with this? Nowhere lol! Just rambling on and checking this post because I didn't receive a response from my support email and this thread is my current lifeline . Do they need vids from high end gaming rigs? Or are they competing with EA for customer support ratings. Woe is me. What's the common denominator? PoE. Did they ever fix that memory leak? |

I havent been playing as Id rather not risk losing my last hc character to frames dropping to zero again.
I've tried every solution posted, I've tried every setting that could possibly effect this, I've tried potato mode, I've reinstalled 6-7 times now. I'm out of solutions. |

I feel you, just lost a character to a 3.5s frame...

Welcome to the club... I'm wondering when I will see "CONSTANT DISCONNECT ISSUES AND TERRIBLE LAG SPIKES HAVE BEEN FIXED" as MoTD instead of new shiny microtransactions...
