Severe Fps Drops post 3.1

Me and my friend were mapping and his screen froze and his graphics card literally stopped working and had to order a new graphics card. It's so beyond ridiculous.
Of course its on going.

Luckily this has been just a completely terrible league that I haven't really played enough to deal with the fps issues.

Load up today and what do you know, fps drops.

Maybe one day this game will actually run properly. About that time maybe lost ark will be out too.
Hi,

i had same problems like the original poster, have tried everything in this thread and every thing else.
As soon as i hit a mob, frame rat droppes to 5-15 fps. When in town and i ran by another player frame rate dropped too. So because nothing with fps related tips helped, i thought it must be something with collision detection.

So i started searching the web, but nothing found. As last try I started to search my laptop for faulty software or malware. Didnt found anything.

But when i started diagnosing my network traffic i found lots of open connection. I started diggind further and found out, that with the last big path of Windows 10 they automatically enabled "Cortana". This was around the time of the 3.1.2 patch where the problems with the stutterin on hits started for me. I disabled it but it initially didnt do a thing.

Now nearly 5-6 weeks later i found out, that although it was disabled, it still started a process on my machine, and that crap was opening connection like crazy. The name of the exe is "SearchUI.exe" and lies somewhere under the Windows installation folder. It is not advised to delete the process. But i searched in my Firewall Programm white list and blocked the exe from connecting to the internet => stable 60 fps again.

I hope this solves a lot of stuttering for other poeple too !

greeting and have fun playing
Chris

[Edit: to check if this is an issue, open a cmd promp and type "netstat" and hit enter. If there are more then 4-5 open connections, this is an indication, that there is some process thats opening connections and therefore is interfering with your connection. ]

Stuttering began while on windows 7, after upgrading to ten I've had Cortana disabled since the initial instillation.

Thanks for the info, but unfortunately its no the fix for me.
4 months of emails culminated in being told there is nothing they can do and hopefully future optimizations can fix the issue.

Hire more artists, obviously more celestial mtxs will fix the game's piss poor performance.
Have the same issue here.
Constant fps drops, the ping is jumping a little bit at the same time. Doesn't really happen when i am only running around but mostly when using skills or when something is happening.
Do we really need more people to expose the issue here in order to push GGG to optimize the game more?
Optimization > new content.
Hello there !

good to see that i am not alone with this problem.

But it is very sad when this problem persists so long !

this problem started with me a few days ago. I bought new monitor Asus ROG SWIFT PG278QR 27" and SSD Kingston Now A400 480GB.

my PC:
Core i7 7700K (4,2GHz)
Kingston 16GB KIT DDR4 2666MHz CL15 HyperX Fury Black Series
ASUS ROG STRIX GAMING GeForce GTX 1080 Advanced Edition DirectCU III 8GB
Win 10 64bit

These days only searching solution ... nothing helps !

I just wrote email to technical support GGG ... so we will see. But if I can see user posts "lif44" ... I expect a failure.
No activity ?

You gave it up ?

Or you solved problem ?
Basically gave up when the email support said theres nothing else they can do at this time.

I found two things that significantly increased my FPS from 15 back to 60+ since the 3.1 patch.

1st- if your using Nvidia drivers / GPU
roll your drivers back to - https://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/116342

2nd - flush your TCP/IP
1. Right click on your Windows Start Menu, and select "Command Prompt (Admin)" or just search for Command Prompt and right click, run as administrator. (You should see a black box)
2. Now type in or copy and paste, "netsh int ip reset" Press Enter. Then do the same for "netsh winsock reset"
3. This should run through the TCP/IP reset.
Once it's complete, you'll need to restart the computer for the process to finish. Done!

Once I completed these two tasks my game was back to normal and FPS was no longer an issue.

I hope this helps.

Ty, works for me in GTX770, now my FPS are stable, also i removed old drivers with DDU.
So this fixed my problem in 3.3, not in 3.1 :P, i think was a driver issue, so i changed last Nvidia driver with this linked drivers.
