Severe Fps Drops post 3.1

i'm afraid i have to queue up here as well.

using the dx11 client, shut down the game on 23.12.2017 and started it today on my playing account and performance is abysmal.

i didn't install the win patches for meltdown and so on.

the type of client that get's started isn't defined by the exe file you start but the config setting (dx9/dx11)

deleting the shader cache, they don't get downloaded again but the game has to calculate them anew which can also lower performance until the cache is filled again. deleting the shader cache is only recommended if you get error messages in that regard.

No, deleting the shader cache fixed all my fps drop to 1 spike issues(that are the deadly ones for us hc players) because the developers of this game don't seem to be caring about optimizing their game.

In order to be playing this game I have to delete the cache every-time i launch the game.

I still have some low fps issues in maps but it's still a harmless temporary workaround.

Anyway GGG needs to start working on engine optimization my pc runs everything flawless EXCEPT Path of exile.

There will be no response from GGG. They sell mtx and stash tabs. That is their main function now that the game is "running". Too bad for us. I just came back from a two week break. Will be going on another since game cannot be played by my rig which runs everything else quite perfectly except POE which I really want to run. Go fig.

wrong, its more important to give nonsense interviews and implement more game crashing mtx instead of fixing obvious b*llshit code.

tried 4 times to contact the support to fps issues, game crashes and heating up GPUs, but not even an answear. seems they dont want more of my money.

After a month, this is the response I got.

They're not even aware there is an issue as can be seen by Chris's response to people having issues with burning ground/crashing. They already have our money from supporter packs/mtx, stop giving them money is the only solution I've come up with

I know i have a potato PC but those drops when you come closer than 6 screens to the abyss is insane.
It's a slideshow when i open abyss and monsters start to respawn. Game is smooth when there's no abyss nearby. I've tried everything in this thread and nothing helps.

If you expect a reply on the forums you will be waiting an awful long time, as this is not a location to seek direct answers from GGG. Email their support team.

If you have done that, they should get back to you soon, assuming your email got through.
