Probably one of them (10% increased AOE) is due to gem quality.

Wow, I was actually going to play DD until I read the low base fire damage, compared to the other gems. The thing going for it may be the % of life damage is up compared to the other gems, and also the radius. Still unsure how best use it, might try a spell totem unearth with self cast DD. Volitile dead would be great as your CoC option when using Unearth. Since unearth has high crit, you can invest in spell crit, and it would work with the volitle dead as well. So many options, But I really want to use DD. Anyone got any idea's?

and here we are still waiting for last, 6th support gem announced with this expansion
If i connect Ancestral Call Support with Melee Splash Support, can I hit the same target 3 times with one attack actually? (Assuming there are 3 monsters next to each other!)

I can also imagine the spam of Desecration with totems and New Year's eve with Volatile Dead and Spell Echo/Cascade Support.

A casual 150-420 base Cold Damage, more if you actually invest in Dex a little? Seems good. More reason to never even consider Nuro's Harp anymore, because that bow really needs to be outshone some more. Wonder what kinda stupendous Ele Foils we're gonna see, with mods like that.

And here we are still having to repeat the same thing for people who don't read the full patch notes, the gem wasn't ready for 3.1 release and was pushed back until GGG can balance it out
So..

1. New Discharge with the Channeling support Gem possible (NICE!)
2. Like the new possible ways to summon corpse and try to use them.
Spell Cascade and Desecrate/or Unearth to cast multiply corpse in one cast
2.1. spell Cascade then on Volatile Dead for Fire-Orbs on mass
2.2. spell casace on Cremation for vulkan "totems"
2.3. bodyswap on totem to creat teleport totems (3-5 totems with the corect class/items) if you creat corpse, your toems will then desytroy them and teleport in that big corpse area from one to next. i think this looks funny and could be realy highdps..
3. some new bow builds in combination with some new affixes (damage per dex e.g.)

nice to see that we dont need to focus so much on reflect

BUT i dont like the idea to check if you have one of the following def mechanics or all:
1. REGEN
2. LEECH + vaalpact/Slayer
3. Instan LEECH with old items or that Claws (also avaible in league)
4. BLOCK/DODGE
5. ES RECHARGE

if you hit by 10 hits all does 1k, then its 10k. you cant handle that income and try your luck with block. we need a decent mitigration sure (armmor, new channeling support to reduce physical/lightning and so on...) but if that all is in sum 1k damage per enemy, then a x number of hits at same or near same moment kills you. if you have block 75%, then you need 4x more hits to die with luck.

to check that def stats + add damage isnt nice for build diversity

Volatile is clunky to farm maps - u have to run,cast Desecration,then cast balls,repeat...2spells - to slow for fasw farming. = if use - only with triggers i think
and body swap totems are good vs bosses - but awful at farm? cause they jump in different positions and u cant control this = this will we strange farm. =__=
