''Ignite, chill, freeze and shock are collectively referred to as elemental ailments''

So I guess so :)

And looking at other channeling skills, such as incinerate and flameblast, the cast time is prob alright.

Would also be quite interesteing to know what Quality affects, +dmg, +aoe, +crit strike etc...

That makes sense.

Regarding the quality bonus, i would assume that +aoe is more or less out of the question. There was an official statement during the aoe changes that most gems which initially had +aoe from quality were instead changed to gain +radius from gem levels. That appears to be the case here as well.
My guess would be +dmg although +crit or shock would be more interesting.

more skills are awesome always

MOARR MOAR SKILLS
DD flat damage? what happened to the 800-1200 flat fire at lvl20?
HAHAHA i was looking at that aswell, man reddit is going to be pissed@
All the new status options for gear will increase the cost to get the status combinations you are aiming for....yet add delicious new options to target or take as a consolation.

Mixed Blessings.
AC: "single target melee".
Volley: "projectile".

any projectile skill (ranged) gets +2, no matter the area it covers while AC only works with close range skills that target 1 enemy. how fair. GGG hates melee. I want my AC lacerate 4 blades possibly overlapping center (or just a wide 2x hit zone) or super cleave and ground slams.
rawr. fear me.
The numbers on the bow cannot be right... this cannot be right... someone tell me they did a mistake with the numbers
ืwow need test new skill LOL!

This may be true but think about how many single target skills can also hit multiple targets. Just a couple examples are frost blades and static strike.

I think that new bow mod is a massive mistake GGG.

I don;t mind powercreep but favouring bows above any other weapon, and above all giving it a single mod that outperforms the best mirrored bows on standard... ouch..

I thought that the elder/shaper items were a way to easily get a 6L running, so we can easier get a single target skill and an aoe skill without weapon swaps and stuff... but i never imagined you would completely bust the game balance like that.

I mean ALL my friends ALL say they're playing archer now. ALL OF THEM.

well done.

how about buffing melee for once?

What makes you think bows are the only thing being favored here? That rare was just an example.

Not trying to troll you...honestly asking as maybe I'm missing something.

im assuming itll be used the most on bows and wands, because ranger is the class with access to the most dexterity.

if it is not limited to bows it's a bit better than i thought, but only really usefull on dex heavy characters, aka wanders / bow users.

more and more we see that melee is garbage and ranged does more damage and is safer..

I mean why even bother playing melee in POE am i right?

I think those are an example of how out of whack the rares can drop with different mods. The whole point, I think, is that there will now be rares that drop on par with uniques. Or rares that can define builds. I don't think the game is intentionally favoring bows with this example, because I also saw a 1h sword example that had lvl 20 melee splash, 20 multistrike, and 18 faster attacks if I'm not mistaken.
