Path of Exile 3.1.0: War for the Atlas Patch Notes

So basically this is your hardest try to slow down players.

well if you advice it may be it should be given a try. But you are the first person I met who liked melee skeletons[/quote]

Sorry, should have been more clear... my skelemancer was skeleton mages, not melee skeles. :D
That, that is, is. That, that is not, is not. Is that it? It is.
I've been mainly interested in ES based chars (int based chars in RPGs) as a matter of personal preference.
But as many others since the last patch, in order to be effective, I had to move away from my favourite classes: mainly towards MoM builds, and also had fun with Vaal Pact experiments. These were not as diverse as the previous builds, but entertaining enough... only for both to get heavily nerfed now as well.

One chase for me has been finishing Perandus Manor, which I try regularly by running the Zana mod... which now got nerfed to 1 in 10+ chance?
Another chase has been getting a char to lvl100. As I only play a few hours per week with several week long breaks, I've managed to get up to lvl93 since 2012. I don't mind this being a years long project, but adding 40% to the top is disheartening.

I will skip this league, and maybe make some effort to get a legacy Acuity (they'll probably be 100+ex going forward).
In any case, first generally nerfing the type of build I prefer to play, and then what I identified as tolerable alternatives... 2017 has been a pretty bad year for PoE.

now that makes sence
Wow so they're making a legacy version of Acuity while not doing so f.e. for The Baron?!?
Really don't get this...
The rest of the patch notes seem ok for the most part - apart from the new Lion's Roar, basically noone will use it anymore if it only gives knockback...

Spoiler
Sure seems like there are (with apologies to all the lady gamers out there) a lot of guys with seriously hurt pussies. So what if your high end, super fast, meta clear speed, rape all bosses with no real effort build that you've been doing every league forever is now more balanced. Maybe it's time to try another build and actually put a bit of effort into playing the game.

Well said! It's mainly this group that's crying on the forums now over changes anyway. I like them all.
Only thing I hope is that boss damage in some fights has been scaled back a bit to avoid one shot shenanigans as in some fights it was incredibly difficult/next to impossible to mitigate damage decently without vaal pact.
Good, i waited for this :D
> Your minions (and their minions) will no longer deal or take damage while you are dead.

So how am I supposed to kill bosses that one shot the entire arena? Especially since the minions are basically pacifists and parse my move orders as a command to retreat to within an inch of my face and cease all attacks?

Oh right I'm supposed to play a hot blond with a gun and just one shot the bosses from off screen.

Seriously GGG, just delete the other classes make this game into a hentai dress'm'up for your obvious Waifu. It's the Internet, it won't mind.

> Minion Life Support now affects Minion Life multiplicatively (it now provides 30% MORE Minion Life rather than 30% increased Minion Life) at level 1 of the gem (up to 49% more life at level 20).

So now your waifu's mechanics will one shot my minions as well as me. Guess I'm playing a blond this league.

Or put another way GGG has finally, somewhat literally, made me their b**ch.

> Bisco's Collar: Chance to drop from monsters has been greatly reduced.

Because we can't have anyone but nolife streamers getting a good drop.

> Monsters which trigger skills based on the damage they take can now trigger those skills from taking damage over time.

And yet RF etc still will not trigger CWDT. Such balance.

> Monster mods "Reflects Physical Damage" and "Reflects Elemental Damage" have been reworked. They now appear as Nemesis mods. Attacking a monster with Physical or Elemental Reflect now triggers a mortar spell targeted at your location. This spell has a cooldown.
> Both versions of Reflect now only appear on Nemesis rare monsters.
> The effects created by Flame Bearer, Frost Bearer and Storm Bearer Bloodlines monsters now appear more quickly and should be more clearly visible.

NICE! This is undeniably good.

> Dusk has a new projectile skill called Carpet Bomb, and it doesn't make your floors more comfortable to walk on.

Oh boy a new area one shot. I honestly wish you'd just lock the door to boss fights unless the character has X life/resists which is clearly the intent.

> Tukohama's Vanguards no longer summon multiple totems at a time while spectred, and the duration of their totems has been lowered to 5 seconds (from 10). They are less likely to place additional totems while they have at least one totem.

As if clear speed on TV necros wasn't already shit. Well at least the shield will be cheaper now.

> Wickerman Righteous Fire damage has been lowered while spectred. These monsters were using a version of Righteous Fire not intended for spectres, and were dealing significantly more damage than intended as a result. This change brings them in line with other spectres who use Righteous Fire.

As if that damage wasn't total garbage already especially since it didn't stack with additional specters.

> Zana League Mods Available During 3.1.0:

Making sure only rich players even have a shot at HH because no GGG isn't completely corrupt at all.

> The Prophecy 'The Twins' which turns a non-Twinned map into a Twinned map no longer grants 6% increased quantity of items found.

Wow. Because 6% is so OP. The pettiness is real.

> You know what you did, Raiz.

Directly kissing streamer behind. At least you're owning it more now.
