You are right i don't get why people complains.
But there are some issues.
Like when i link my account it says linked oke but if you see your name it would help.

And insted of %1 Random + You get a Random Reward.
Why not earn point and pick what you wan't ? that must be better.

As for what would be better.. YOU DONT GET TO COMPLAIN ABOUT FREE STUFF, how hard is it to understand that? The idea behind might be that you get a random helmet and maybe you would want the whole set and will go buy it. Would you be happier if you got a box with random skin in it? They should'n have separated it into tiers to not trigger sensitive people with it.
As for complains about not liking to watch streams - don't/mute it/have it open when you are afk. The thing will last for 20 (!!!) more days. GGG is not your parent to cater specifically to you. If you can't - don't or do something to be able to

It's not "free stuff" people complain about, it's the process in which the stuff is offered. It's the second time in a row GGG made really stupid decisions (for their customers) on how to run their MTX promotions.

Got the Obsidian helm after about 10 hours or so.

There is so much misinformation in this thread it is concerning. The biggest one I noticed is the odd assumption that all streamers are getting paid for the increased views. That isn't the case at all for most of the people who are streaming. I'm sure they still like to have a healthy amount of people watching though, as they wouldn't be streaming if they didn't want people to watch in the first place.

Those streamers who usually only have between 0-50 viewers at any time are likely not going to make any money from their stream because it is highly doubtful that they are partnered with Twitch (take a look at the requirements). However, it is obvious they like playing, having people to chat with and watch tme and so on, so this doesn;t hurt them, either. It may help some on their path to partnership, too, but saying that all streamers are making revenue from this is just silly.
