I think 3.1 will be the first release in which my build may actually be labeled as "meta". Too many cool new mechanics to try.

" Think perhaps he's talking about the channeling shield ? but then again, that requires a link slot, and theres like what, 6 channelling spells in the game? 1 at least is a support, 1 is melee.. so yeah I'm not exactly sure it's a valid caster complaint lol |

Volatile Dead is just going to be broken and I have no idea how you're ever going to make it balanced. I know new skills are typically released as broken, but they're then eventually nerfed to a more acceptable state. Given the way Volatile Dead works, I just don't know how you're ever going to do that. The skill is auto-targeting, multi-projectile AND zonelevel-scaling (since it's based on corpse life). That makes it great for BOTH area-clearing AND boss-killing (hello shotgunning, my old friend!). Here's looking forward to the next big balancing disaster (after the heydays of Cast on Crit).

"Impressive - it even follows the current rule for multiple projectiles: Can't hit a single target by name locking on it if you shoot an even number of projectiles. ;) I'd like to see all multiple projectile scenarios changed so there is always a projectile shooting straight where I clicked from the centre of my char. Online delenda est: When the lifecycle of PoE will draw to an end many years from now, there needs to be a final patch making it available offline. Content upgrades seem big. I am also very happy with the recently upgraded spectre skill, summoner playstyle is feeling smooth.
Upgrades to the performance are very important in my opinion. A big, realistic improvement would be customisation to logout timers. No character can be built to survive up to 6 seconds on connection loss. Another big improvement would be a more detailed and accurate character screen. Honestly, the most love I can imagine even for molten strike would be protection against disconnects and a detailed character screen with projectiles, keystones and conditional damage modifiers. |
