Finally Some Performance

My FPS drops from 80 to 30 after considerable extra gore ....@2k res on a 5yr old laptop. Surely, ggg programmers would know better to cap it when extra gore sprites reach a certain limit to avoid facepalm performance issues?

extra gore is annoying srsly cant stand and gives fps/lag spikes when there is horde of mobs on the screen. Changed my armor because of it, hate it. why there is no option to turn it off?
This makes me want to play the original Warcraft.
Desperate as I am for performance enhancements...

nope, can't bring myself to do it.

if it's important then disconnect your internet and use that money to save for a semi decent rig. Doing away with interwebs for a few months won't kill you. Save and then enjoy instead of playing on a rig that will give you eye damage.

You might even ask around schools, business areas, even charities or hospitals, if they have any spare machines for free.

Many times companies will throw out working rigs when they get old, as giving them away is too time consuming.

I've had an employee ask me why I was throwing out all these laptops and computers that worked perfectly well. The answer is, you're not throwing out a computer, you are avoiding the service of that computer.

She disagreed that people would take them and I said "alright, I'll give you 4 hours to find a place, anywhere that will take them."

She came back after 5 hours with no results. The issues were:

- Can you deliver them?
- Do they all work ( not all did, but with a basic knowledge you could get one to work from three )
- Charities: All needed people to come and show the refugees or people in need how to work them or install them.

Bypass those hurdles and you may get a working rig.

Performance issues in poe are mostly due to particles effects which, for some reasons, GGG doesn't want to let us lower

Someone do a go fund me to get this man a decent rig.

this, and find someone who travels to BR to take him a US rig 200x150p is just so wrong... I think I may have gotten less squeamish looking at newspaper photo's of religious fantics right before they sawed off some poor humans head for not believing their favorite brand of God fan fiction.
Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.

Not to be mean, but what does MTX look like with those settings? Can you even tell?

You seem like a nice enough person, maybe start a go fund me.....You might be surprised.

Gaming on the cheap advice if you want it...

Spoiler
With a little patience, you can build a decent computer component by component through daily deals on Newegg/Tigerdirect/etc. It's not going to be used at NASA, but if you know what you're doing (or someone who does), it will be more than enough on the cheap. No clue what shipping or availability is in your area though. Just 2cc for gaming on the cheap from my personal experience years ago.

That seems like some really sound advice, but I don't know if I'd actually deserve something like that. I mean, people probably need their money and why should I get a new computer when there are so many of us here in the community with performance issues? I would LOVE having a new computer, but doing something like that... I don't know, thanks, but I believe people wouldn't find that fair. I'd have no problem if it were a gift from a big company that wouldn't suffer with such a big monetary loss(IF RAZER WANTS TO GIVE ME A COMPUTER, or 2, for my so, I WOULD SCREAM).

I've tried those sites, seem like normal prices to me, even daily deals, also, international shipping... quite a b****. But thanks, actually nice advice, might add it to the tutorial post as a sidenote, if you'd allow me.

You just have to be patient; most of the time they are not terribly good deals. I built half a computer off of free components when I was a bit less well off because of the $40 component with a $40 rebate thing (they hope you won't do the rebate). Mostly the peripherals/case/fans/etc. but those little things add up.
