Finally Some Performance
" This. Full screen for some reason takes more resources than Windowed Full Screen. Played the first 2 years of PoE in a similar setup ("mud graphics"). Half of it was Beta maintained by a GGG staff of 8 guys... but now they have a large team and still struggle with optimization. I remember they had a guy from Poland. Greg. Graphics Engine guru. He came in and within 2-3 patches my FPS doubled. I could actually team up with Anu and Morbo. And then he left... Wow even my £250 craptop runs the game batter than that. I don't think i'll complain anymore. OP is a truly dedicated PoE player!

My FPS drops from 80 to 30 after considerable extra gore ....@2k res on a 5yr old laptop. Surely, ggg programmers would know better to cap it when extra gore sprites reach a certain limit to avoid facepalm performance issues?

Anyone else see this and think C64 load screen graphics? Just me? Figured.
Man, quit playing POE for a few weeks and work a few extra hours somewhere to buy something reasonable if playing games is important to you. That's just absolutely horrendous. |

" I highly doubt that you've ever actually lived in a non-first-world country. Besides the fact that depending on where you live, 20 dollars might be what people earn in a month (so in your terms: 4000 dollars if you have an even somewhat decent job in the states, for me, living in Switzerland, even more), computer hardware in such countries is also more expensive. For comparison, when I was in Chile, a 4-year old camera (Nikon DSLR D5200) was sold for more than the successor of the successor (D5500) was sold for in Switzerland at the same time. Old computer hardware was crazy expensive compared to what it costs in first world countries. And Chile is the richest country in South America last time I checked. Now Brazil is not the real bottom end of the worlds economies. The average salary was $678.90 per month in 2010, but there is a huge spread, so a bottom-end worker earns more like $77.40 per month. So yeah, given that the TO is a student, he might not have a lot of disposable income (read: none at all). What I am trying to tell you is: Get a sense of perspective. I have no idea where you live, but you should realize that you are living an extremely privileged life compared to vast parts of the human population on this earth. It helps to be more humble to realize that every once in a while. " Not sure, but I doubt there is a best buy in Brazil. Widen your view, not everyone lives in the States. @TO: Just wondering, how much money would you realistically need to get a computer that can run PoE at say 1024x768 and at basic graphics settings at somewhat decent FPS? I've run PoE myself for quite a while at 800x600 and at 30-40fps, which isn't great, but certainly playable. Yours looks pretty bad and not really well playable. " Oh. Good to know, wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the clarification. Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.
