Black Friday through to Cyber Monday Weekend Sale!

Lame as hell.

So I know someone asked this before, but since it wasn't answered in the thread, can you upgrade packs through steam?

I got all excited when I realized I actually had money to burn for this weekend's sale, then I saw that it's an hourly thing?

C'mon, I don't care how good it may seem for business to trick people into impulse-buying a bunch of stuff instead of letting us see the entire sale at once, this just makes GGG look terrible. It's not going to improve your sales when a bunch of people that may have spent money just decide not to, either as a result of this really terrible business practice, or the fact that they don't have time to check every hour for something they actually want. Utterly and completely stupid.

Why go from being a company known for great transparency and a really decent business model to doing something this terrible? I actually want to give you guys my money after how much I've enjoyed a lot about the game lately and the direction it's been going in, but now this makes me question why I would do such a thing. This instead actually makes me want to go find as many forums as I can to complain about the terrible sale, just to see your sales for the weekend drop so you know never to stoop this low again. I've never had that urge before, instead I usually tell people what a great game POE is.

For the love of all things holy, or at least for your future financial solvency, please fire whoever came up with this idea, they obviously have zero idea what word-of-mouth is and have no clue how bad this kind of thing makes GGG look. How can you guys do so much so right and then suddenly pull a 180 and do something this insanely backwards? Do you actually want to make money, or....?

Incredibly disappointed and kinda shocked right now.

EDIT: You have already literally lost money on this, both a friend and I were planning on buying stuff this weekend, but got such a sour taste from this, the cash is going to other games with more intelligent sales. You're a business, you need to make money to survive, so stop shooting yourselves in the foot, please.

I thought we were past this hour promotion stuff when Steam realised it sucked for people who wanted to buy specific items, we all have something to do IRL (work, study, sleep) and sometimes we can't be checking whats on sale to get a wanted item. Much better to make it the new Steam way, put up yhe discounts, I would spend all my points and probably need some more to get what I want...

I'm glad to see some discounts.. but the idea of having one item per hour is kinda silly ;s Anyways, have a nice weekend everyone :)

Well, hopefully your increase in sales from psychologically manipulating your playerbase will be large enough to offset the number of people who will outright refuse to buy anything out of principle.

When is soon? Will we be given notice? Or am I going to wake up one day and it'll be gone.

They're associated with the Harbinger League. When the League ends they'll be retired.
