Huh, no, I don't blame Trump for the cause of the disasters. It would even be hard to pin them on global warming as a whole. Global warming very likely caused them to be more dire, maybe global warming caused the hurricane of Puerto Rico but that's pretty much impossible to say with certainty and I'd imagine the likeness of it being the case to be very low.


No, what I blame him for is how he handled it. It took days for the aid to begin with Puerto Rico and Trump didn't even care about them.

For California, it was just democrats, didn't really care about helping them either. Remember the dumb shit he said about cutting funding for the forest management of california when most of the forests are federal level?

What is even more ridiculous is the notion you think Chicago dictate everything. There's 2.7m millions in Chicago vs 12,7m in illinois. Chicago is only 20%. The truth, and I bet you don't like it, is that a huge portion of small cities/towns/rural area agree with whatever people in Chicago think

Although the Sith typically deal in absolutes this particular argument does require some elaboration. A few additional notes to help you understand since I presume you dont live here.

The City of Chicago, which resides as part of Cook County is over 5 million, 5.211 to be exact. That alone is well over 40% of the entire State's population, in ONE county. Illinois has over 100 counties. The disparity and weight is overwhelming. Obviously you dont get 100% political lean one way or the other, but the influence over Illinois politics becuase of Chicago is troubling.

All in all I'm torn on this particular issue. On one hand I think that everyone's vote should matter, but on the other life on the coasts or the big city is totally different than the majority of the country.

The electoral college is the only thing keeping this country from being run on the coasts, and large metro areas. California for example will certainly be over 40 million this year alone. That more than the combined population of the last 20 states in the union:

Wyoming, Vermont, Alaska, North & South Dakota, Delaware, Rhode Island, Montana, Maine, New Hampshire, Hawaii, Idaho, West Virginia, Nebraska, New Mexico, Kansas, Mississippi, Arkansas, Nevada, Iowa, Utah, and Connecticut.
