Trials of Ascendancy, most hardcore unfriendly thing ever invented
" to be honest for the most part how you build does not matter to traps (which is why I hate them so much) but what you can do is: 1. Have lots and lots of life regen 2. have really good instant and anti bleed potions 3. lots of move speed 4 good movement skills can trivialize many traps for Izzaro I recommend just over leveling him by at least 10 levels then for uber just pay someone to kill him for you I dont see any any key!

This is exactly what the problem is in this game. People are so used to avoid any mechanics by facetanking everything that can't even complete a normal trial coz can't facetank that. Maybe try not to walk on traps next time?
Also want you to pay close attention to what you said about traps being hardcore unfriendly. Maybe you forgot what hardcore means? If anything, traps are very hardcore friendly coz they are more hardcore than anything else in the game. Maybe we have different definition of hardcore tho. My advice would be to wait out if see a set of traps, figure the pattern and then go. Also grab a pantheon power that lets you recover life flask charges every 3 seconds, with that you can just afk in the middle of traps, wait till you charge up your flasks and go. Tbh I despise trials too coz they don't fit in the game, slowing you down. But they are not that hard rly Last edited by Dr1MaR#1294 on Sep 6, 2017, 1:23:50 PM

I can see how trials are an extra challenge for hardcore players, but for once: you chose hardcore, so don't complain about it. And then I hardly doubt that any blade trap insta-kills anyone with enough health for hardcore mapping.
When I do the normal lab I just hit the speed pot and run through it, ignoring any kind of traps as the damage is negligible. How that would kill any 65+ char instantly is beyond me. |

But how are you supposed to gloat about how hardcore you are when they put dangerous things in the game? </sarcasm>

" 1. that shitlab was not part of the game for many years and they had to make it a core part of the game 2. the traps take away a % of your life, how much max life you have makes zero difference sawblades, those floating circles with saws around it that float around, the more towards the middle of them you go the higher the % of your life they take away. So if you move along and in the middle with them for a few seconds you are dead. You go ahead thinking you can just ignore them lol Last edited by InnerDrive#4942 on Sep 6, 2017, 3:06:36 PM

Dies to sawblades. Best joke I have heard today. How have u even survived this long? "Dead DPS is 0 DPS"

"By the way, theer is already a 700+pages thread on the lab, you should post there."
Yeah, except not really. |

" before there was lab you could just farm dried lake till level 70 something and than start doing the 68 maps, you did not even ever have to kill act 4 merciless bosses Atziri, Shaper, unique maps , putting alchs or vaals on maps,.. all of it is optional content the way it should be lab is the first mandatory character killer content, so obviously hardcore has lost/is losing a lot of players and the fact that its mandatory character killer content is what is causing all these riots about it Last edited by InnerDrive#4942 on Sep 23, 2017, 4:09:10 PM

I think trials of ascendancy were one of few things made a lot easier in 3.0
Now I bring a spare eternal life flask usually of staunching in my inventory and swap one of my utility flasks with it when I encounter a trial while mapping. If im not already using the pantheon, i port out and select the recharge life flask pantheon. This makes it so you probably won't die even if you fuck up majorly, as long as you can find 1 safe corner to sit in for like 20 seconds you'll get all your life flasks back. And if you are already experienced at trials, it lets you go even faster sometimes as you just get more charges as you go forward. I have yet to die in labyrinth or to traps in trials since release, and my closest call was playing kitava cycloner and suddenly the green circle sentinels (Endless Hazard) that cause you to take damage when you use a movement skill appear (high movespeed makes it you can walk into their area of effect before they cast it because they don't cast when offscreen) |
