the tree can be updated by deleting the data folder, new features coming somewhere next week

Thanks...so it'll be updated when GGG updates? Also, whats with the Shadow being called "SIX"? -_-
This tool has been around since before the sixth class (Shadow) was announced, hence the placeholder.

And to a degree (e.g. except for major changes to the structure of the online tree Javascript), the tree will update when GGG updates, but IIRC you have to delete the data folder to cause said update to happen because the data is only downloaded if that folder doesn't exist.

Not exactly. This is because of the Skilltree on pathofexile.com.
In the Data folder you have got a file called "Skilltree.txt". Inside the file there are information about every class stored. Shadow is there called SIX.

In case to change this GGG would have to rename it in their source code or the enumeration used should use "SIX" if "Shadow" is selected (I will probably find a solution for this).

You can check this by bringing up the passive skilltree and show the source code. Search for "SIX" and you will get a result.

The problem here is that the OFFLINE skilltree uses the name of the ComboBox (in this case "Shadow"). Then it changes the name of the class to uppercase and uses it. If I change the name to Shadow the program will crash because the Skilltree.txt does not contain the "SHADOW" string.

*EDIT*
I now have made it possible to use "Shadow" as a classname.

Could any one of the Offline Skilltree developer contact me so I can share it?

This calculator is sooo useful...

A way to manually highlight some key nodes would be a cool addition for build developement (like the search circles, maybe with a few different colors)

I hate to be picky, but I never said whose placeholder it was, just that this tool predates the Shadow class.

I know GGG had the placeholder in their code from before it was announced because I'm supposed to be working on a Linux port of the Offline Skilltree, but development has sort of stalled out between too much work at my job and a few annoying issues zooming. Well, that and not having a PC at home right now. I do plan to get back to it soon though.

Sadly, people tend to suck at that (reading). Maybe you should update the first post, and include pertinent information like that in a giant font size.

THIS is a good idea. Probably going to do that after my planned update.
I linked this topic to another board (since I think this tool is tons better than the online tree) but a guy there insists your SW is detected as a trojan by VirusTotal.

I'm trying to make him post or send logs, he's convinced this thing is there to hijack accounts or something...

The log he got is a report from VirusTotal, saying 45 AV SW out of 46 think it's ok, and TrendMicro-Housecall thinks it's TROJ_GEN.F47V0112.

That sounds like a false positive to me. It's particularly telling that paying products from TrendMicro (I have Titanium active) think it's ok, but only the free online scan from the same company sees a problem.

He does know that the tool is open source and he is free to look at the source and check it himself for any keyloggers, right?
Doubt he went that far... Seeing he reacted to one free scan reporting a trojan out of 46 Antivirus SW reporting nothing.
Hey guys been playing Path of exile for a few hours now and we are recording and Livestreaming the whole thing so come join us dont forget to follow rate subscribe blah blah blah.
