@Headhorr this is awesome! Thanks!
I'm new here just from a month and first thing I thought whe I saw PoE skill tree is (besides it's awesome) that I wish to see better where what type of skills are and also to see calculation what is the result of my skill nodes choise. Your calculator looks that makes great job at the second one!

Now I don't want to brag, but I made something (the least I can) about the first wish I had - to see better where what type of skills are: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/68005/page/1

I think is mostly usefull for newbs like me, but if you find it useful too and wish somehow to add it in your program also like a feature I can give you the layers I made.

Funny thing is, if i had to remake the tree everytime something changes, i'd go insane.
The tool can just regenerate the most recent skilltree by downloading it freshly from the website.
So your layers are kinda useless for me, sry.
I'd need a script that colors the nodes in relation to their description.

You are right and it's not needed that much also. I just wish I had your skills and make it as good as yours :) Anyways thanks again for your hard work!

Crashes instantly on startup for me :(
No win8 support I suppose.

I love this thing. It is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Now all I wish it had was a storage system, a database of builds you've saved / created to page through at will. This will be running alongside POE at all times for me!

Anyone having trouble, make sure you try running as an administrator, worked for me fine. :D
Hi, I've noticed there is a save to file button but when I click it nothing happens. Does this button allow you to make one build then save it, then let you make another build and save it. So you could just click into save file 1 and compare it to save file 2 to see the difference in passive attributes.
If this is how it works could someone please explain how to do this?
If not I think it would be a nice addition to this already awesome program.
@julek what do you mean translate it? i could translate the buttons to german, but the node descriptions are directly from ggg, so no way to translate them except maybe a google translator script.

@darkiezork it has windows 8 support, are you using some kind of strange antivirus? did it create the data folder, the usual stuff, pm me your debug txt, i will try to find out what is wrong.

@Skouros if you need to run it as administrator, run it from a different location. it needs to create 2 directories and some files. no userland app should ever have to run in admin mode.

@y0ungman the save button does nothing right now, it will change after the OpenBeta start.
So, whom shall i download this from?

And thanks by the way.
I find this tool to be more fluid and attractive to use, compared to the online website planner.
One complaint is the click zone of passive nodes is a bit... off at times.

Future options for casuals would be nice too, like simple builds that are built in.
So casuals dont have to min/max and spreadsheet their their way into a successful character.
Maybe even custom gear adding option and suggestion?
new skilltree is up, delete your data folder and start crafting.
:D
