Why is there no auction house?

Which I deduced without checking your account bc if you're not playing SSF, you'd have an out-of-game Auction House called "poe.trade" available you.

Black Desert Online did a good job with the AH. No bots sniping Stuff away. But people also complain.

People want it fast and easy, controlled and out of bots and all that stuff.

I never want an AH in PoE.

With an AH u need penalties to stop the bad guys but also the good peole will have them.

At some point GGG is going to have to give in on this. So many people want an AH and the current scamming is completely out of control.

I have a feeling that it isn't just the fact that they want this current system for some lore reasons or their "grand vision" of the game but more so because of the addition time and money it would take to implement an auction house type system.

Hell, they could still even make it so that you could only sell one tab's worth of items at a time with the base game and make is buy additional premium tabs if we wanted to have more items listed at once if this entire problem is a monetary one as I suspect.

I have personally spent well over the standard $60 on this game but I for one am not going to be doing so any further until this situation is rectified.

Flame me if you want but it's my hard earned money and my personal opinion.

No flames, but you're mistaken that GGG has to give in on this.

Im welcoming every system that gets rid of my most often written sentece in my POE trading history:

Only thing I miss in ssf is party element. It's too boring to play alone. But SSF still beats normal mode because poe.trade is too much hassle for me. Eather auction house for quick exchange or SSF.



I think system like Diablo 3 has is perfect. You CAN trade items with players but only with people you party with. So you play example with your friends and exchange items you obtained together.

I've also played Black Destert 1-year until I got bored and auction house was pefect. It has minium price for items so you can't get scammed. Gameplay just got bit too boring.

Don't refer to AH, it's triggers some people.

There are other forms of trading that could be used that don't have all the bot problems of instant trading, but which still allow trading when the seller is offline or playing. If those are asked for, perhaps GGG would relax it's odd stance on forced player 'interaction' (click, click, "ty").

You can't get ripped off now either, if you don't overpay for items and check the proper pricing. Trading window is very secure too, because u have to hover over it.

They don't want an auction house and never have, for their own reasons. I guess they want to encourage community activity and bartering. For an example how something is on sale for 4 exa and you offer 3,5 and the guy says: it's a deal. That's a cool thing that would be lost with an auction house. Also an auction house would mean that there'd have to be some kind of mailbox system + GGG benefits from selling premium stash tabs atm.

I used to want an auction house aswell, cos let's be honest trading can be fking annoying at times, but it's not that bad and an auction house would bring it's own problems. I think Nugi and Mors went over it in one of their latest coffee talk episodes quite well.

Also if you get a loot filer + a trade macro and a prem stash tab, ur trading exp will be pretty good anyways, so i'd rather have them fix the current bugs and keep having nice content than focus on something that already kinda works. Some improvements would be good tho, MAYBE a currency auction house or smth.

Also some ppl just don't want an AH.
