New video: Red tier Elder (CI)
Spawning him in red tiers is a total PITA. But there is no difference otherwise. He's still super easy. I use the main staff (with EF) for the Elder and swap to the trash clearing staff with SC for the portals. I've also tried not helping the Shaper (letting the adds shoot him down). The adds have a terrible aim, and most of them attack you instead of the Shaper, so it takes almost as long, not much point. The Elder has many attacks, but he doesn't get to use almost any of them because he loses life so fast that you just go from one mandatory 'drain' animation to the next (he does them at some % points of his life), and then he's trapped, and then he's dead. He does have his own version of the Slam. He spins upwards and showers you with 'snowflakes', then teleports to you and hits you for like 8k damage (when moving; he surprised me 1 time like that and almost killed me). So I bring the phys mitigation flasks just in case he does that attack. If he starts spinning and dropping snowflakes - stand still and pop Granite+Basalt, then it won't hurt much. " Nice video ! Why did you choose to use EF on the main staff for him instead of CE ? Is CE not that worthwhile for bosses in general or just for the Elder ? Also I'm currently sitting at around 5.5k damage on tooltip as Witch, 1600 Int+, it seems a bit low to me, doesn't it ? I guess all the penetration for Mastermind of Discord makes up for it. " Good to hear! 5.5k is low indeed, the old CI version with Life Leech had 7-8k with semi-decent gear, I used to get to 9-10k by the end of the league. Build works really well with blind, way better than VD.
What's the amount of ES recommended for guardians and shaer? I have like 6.8k, but im only lvl 81. I think i have some good gear, shall i go to 85-90 before trying to facetank them? | |
" Slam can do about 6k. It's not the amount of ES that you have to consider for T16/Shaper, but the damage. For the Berserker, I'd recommend 9-10k tooltip. At lv 81 it's usually not quite there yet. | |

do you run purity of ice just for your watcher's eye or do you think that this is the best purity to run? |

instances crashing all over again, different types (t12-t16), atziri, unique ones, one thing i noticed, it always happens after using portal (or dying), lost so many high lvl maps, it makes not want to play anymore | |
" There is no such thing as "best purity". It's obviously for watcher's eye synergy if you running it, for all the others - you can choose running those for bosses to mitigate damage. But it's ice for shaper/hydra, fire for phoenix, etc There is no such thing as universally best purity for that build. If anything, without watcher's eye synergy, you would rather not running purity at all, you have much more better option to waste your unreserved mana. |
