Sao Paulo Server latency

PLEASE take down this alternative BR server, it's screaming for a quick death.
I've noticed that past midnight (UTC-3:00) my connection improves to near perfect results. Maybe the servers are overloaded and at that time people who contribute to society go to sleep?

Yeah, I got the same feeling. I also think it is due to overload to the good server and we got to play on the shitty one. Guess I will got to wait some more until more ppl quit this league, and the server finally get better again... kinda sad thou.

Hello Under. The problem for most of us who play outside Brasil has to be with the connection between our country and Brasil so it won't work for people outside your country. For some of you that have problems and are from Brasil it could work.



I'll try to explain the problem that we have here so people can realize how screwed we are.

Let say you have a business running (The game). Your store (The server) is in a big city where a lot of people come to buy stuffs from you. Your business is doing great there but you want to get to more people outside your main city (People playing outside Brasil). So you search for a route to a small city nearby. Since it's a small city there no need for a store there because the cost of building a store will be too much and your gains are not that high there. But you decided that the best option is to do "delivery" there. Your client buy something from your store and you deliver that item to them. Great! the solution is working. Suddenly you start to get messages from your clients from the small city saying that the items that they bought are not getting to them in time and sometimes they are not getting at all (High latency or disconnections). You found out that the bridge that connect the two cities (Big ISP that connect countries) is having problems. The bridge collapsed causing the traffic to stop. You talk to the bridge's owner to see if they can fix it but they can't do it fast enough. So you search for a new bridge to get to the city but all of them have the same problem, they are broken, can't get traffic fast to the city or uses the same bridge that's having problems as main exit path.

So someone suggest to build a store in the small city or move your main store there. As you already know, there's no way for you to build a store there, you don't have enough people there to buy your products. Also you can't move your main store there cause now you'll have the same problem but for a lot of more people buying stuff from the big city cause you are using the same broken bridge but in the other direction.

Finally the solution you have is to use a route that's far away from where you need to get, so the product take more time to reach the small city, but hey! they get there, but take longer.


I tried to do an ELI5 about the problem so people can understand what is happening.

The problem that we have is the upstream provider (the bridge owner) between our countries and Brasil is having problems. GGG can't find another upstream provider cause they all use the same route. You can't move the server to another country cause we'll have the same problems but for the people who play from Brasil (moving the store to the small city) and as you know the majority of players who play on south america's server are from Brasil.

This is mostly what's happening, but sometimes the server can't handle the amount of players or another kind of problems and you can get lag spikes as well. Those affect Brasil players as well.

I could have make some mistakes since I'm not a at network engineer or IT, but I have some knowledge about networks. If I wrote something that's not correct, please let me know so I can edit the post.

I wonder if there is any plan to mitigate these issues, for me in particular, it's being very hard to appreciate the game in its current state.
I know they work hard on the Delve league to make it work properly but we're pretty advance on Betrayal league and the game does not feel smooth as before.

GGG, don't ignore this PLEASE!

Since the last 2 daysv playing the game is nearly impossible without dying, the lag spikes are terrible as an Argentinian playing on the Brazilian server, last week I played without any inconvenience, but this week is impossible to play.

If I play on the Texan server at least there are no lag spikes, just a constant 220ms latency, so at least I know that it's not my computer.

What a bummer, just when I started to mapp neverless. I really hope they find a quick solution to people playing outside of Brazil like me.

i may issue a refund of my suporter packs i bought yesterday, its unplayable

right now in my hideout doing nothing

some maps work fine some are like this, 1 of your gateways is busted GGG I know br has 2 or maybe more because the winmtr for both alt.br and br. are fine

edit: now my hideout has good ping it fixed itself but it comes and goes

The lag spikes are horrible, unplayable, from 66 to 1600 in a sec.

So many mtxs, so many supporter packs, ZERO improve on servers.

This is a slap on the face of people who play this game, and even more onpeople who pay to "support" the game.
