New Support Gems Coming to The Fall of Oriath Beta

Is the bleed , poison already aliments in beta?
In order to get rid of clearspeed meta cap global movement speed at 100% but make all skills instant so everything feels great.
looks overpowered af. sure those must be just initial ideas meant to undergo some drastic changes, but i hava a bad feeling that it will turn out that some will be useless while others will just be the new ridiculous meta that the content will be balanced to, replacing double dips. for i while i thought that something as deep as going or double dipping will mean that the game will be balanced for more diverse set of choices, but it looks like it will just be a change in meta build list.

Meybe it won't be as bad, but after legacy mechanics will be gone, the game might only get worse.
My Viper striker was waiting for those. Thx GGG
No tags on any of those...?

Mmmmmm. New content 😀😀😀😀
Really boring, for the most part. It's mostly just More multipliers and...even more More multipliers.

The problem isn't numbers aka balancing, but the basic design itself - there's just nothing interesting about about most of them.

The only ones I like the look of are Decay, Immolate and Chance to Bleed aka the ones that aren't simply damage boosts.

The game is already saturated with enough More multipliers. We're still working with just 6-links, remember? Even Righteous Fire, which at one time had barely any support gems that worked with it, can now be fully 6-linked. We don't need any more and if you do add more, they'll simply end up replacing existing More multipliers in builds depending on which ones have higher numbers.

Decay and Immolate add their own mechanics and so are good. Both look like they could form their own builds based on them.

Unbound Ailments is nice enough since it'll promote builds that use several ailments, such as an ignite build using cold damage ala Hrimburn so as to both ignite (for damage) and freeze/chill (for defense). Elementalists especially will love this thing.

And Chance to Bleed is sweet as it allows even non-Gladiators to get close to 100% bleed chance with passives and Hemophilia gloves.

The rest are just there to make build design even more Excel spreadsheet-dependent.

Oh, and Maim is lame (see what I did there?) and always will be. Maim is just the weaker form of Slow/Chill, making it pointless given how easy it is to include those in our builds already.

As poison is based on base damage, Added chaos damage support will be huge help!

BUT:
The problem goes that you have to chose between MAIN damage AND POISON damage!
And if you make poison build with close combat skill you won't have any decent defense mechanics like leech! So how you will defend yourself? HUGE REGEN?

Whoop whoop new toys to play with :D
can't wait for decay finally a chaos gem that looks cool^^

just apply it with a aoe spell and watch em get infected with chaos xd

if you know thank me:) i'm dying to find out x'D

With bleed you can also focus on the DoT, but yeah the initial hit probably matters more but most bleed builds are likely to have decent physical damage anyway.

"also focus on the DoT" "decent physical damage"

There are literally three* clusters on the tree that increase physical damage currently. Shadow Start + Fangs of the Viper/Will of Blades (114%), Master of Force (32%), and Force Shaper (71%).

*Revenge of the Hunted also counts but that's only +12%.

Do you know where all of those are located? Shadow. Each of those nodes have Chaos Damage too or are right next to more powerful Chaos nodes.

What does a Bleed Based Gladiator or Deadeye do when their starts do absolutely nothing for bleed. They're forced to go in one direction, or skip it completely. Attack speed for Duelist, or Life/Evasion for Deadeye (or stat points if CI).

Attack speed doesn't scale Bleed dps so that sucks. Attack Physical Damage and Melee Physical damage both don't work with bleed, so Duelist can't even go with a helpful option. Projectile damage is never DoT so Deadeye isn't even a feasible option.
R.I.P. Harvest crafting. You were amazing for one league
GGG it's cool to create new support gems and a few of those look great. But you mostly need to revamp the old ones : stun, knockback, endurance charge on melee stun and so on...

That is to say all those support gems that nobody uses, because they don't add damage and provide very little utility, especially against bosses.
