why is that?

'Cause yours is giving you LESS 30% spell damage, while a low roll will give you for example LESS 10% spell damage.

You want a Repentance with a low roll of LESS #% spell damage.

Thanks for the info, so why do we use repentance? couldn't we find better bracers?
Guys can you enlighten me please. Is devoto's helmet just only used for move speed? Cause I do not see how 200+ hp + resitances can be more valueble than 16% as. Correct me if I'm wrong.

i think its for the attack speed/chaos res, movement speed. and i mean you dont gotta follow the build 100% of the way, you can add a little of you into it. the guide is just a general outline

Can anyone tell me if Inya's Epiphany is better than Death's Door for guardians and shaper?

Searched the thread but I don't seem to find much about it.

I cant tell you what is better, but you surely dont need death's door for guardians.
And you surely dont need 40ex to do the guardians, either. I started out just with a mjölner, repentance, saffells and romiras running up to t10 maps. while doing that I got enough chaos to buy a voll's devotion. this was the deciding peace to start into red maps. After upgrading with inyas and wise oak and getting my gems to 20 and discharge to 21, I tried the guardians. Chimera and Hydra were a blast. Phoenix needs decent rolls than its doable. For Minotaurus I most likely will need kaoms. Without it I might just be at 5,3k life, but I can faceroll most of the game anyways.
I enjoy the build very much and it is possible to upgrade your char very smoothly into lategame, imo.

Thanks for the answer.

It's just that I'm clearing maps pretty well, including t15s, but in bosses I take a bit of time. I don't know if it's because my discharge is only 19, if it's because of my jewels (most only have 2 dmg mod.

Or maybe I'm just used to taking down high end bosses fast and it feels slow idk...

I'm also only lvl 85.

@MrFoot and @Kekislav (sorta both answers in one broad statement)
We use repentance for the "Iron Will" keyword. It causes our Strength's +% melee damage to apply to spell damage as well. In a build that rolls in around 450 strength, that's +90% spell damage.

So +90% - 4% (10c for this roll) = +86% spell damage net total.

The build revolves around vaal pact + crave the slaughter (ascendancy) to heal huge amounts of life instantly. If you get hit for 15% or more of your life, you heal *INSTANTLY* ~103% of your damage output. This combo allows us to run some less defensive oriented gear. (Such as Repentance and Devoto's which are purely offensive items.)
*Note: Neither of these uniques are necessary, but if you change to defensive options, you might find that your damage is relatively reduced.

The +16% attack speed on devoto's is actually fairly useful. We can discharge 4 times a second, requiring our cyclone to have at least 4 attacks/second to be peak efficient.

W/ devoto's and a full skill tree, the path of building build states 3.7 attacks/second... so removing devoto's moves us even further away from our peak efficiency (no devoto's = 3.44 attacks/second). The attack speed also affects how fast we can shield charge, and movevement speed also double dips, increasing cyclone + shield charge mobility. The extra chaos resistance is just a nice little bonus and the huge +60ish dex helps to cover requirements for faster attack gem and offers some (minor) accuracy boost which helps a little bit with charge generation.

@Majad
Feeling slow in 3.0, or feeling slow to what you remember to killing bosses? Don't forget that map bosses gained huge HP boosts in 3.0, so 3.0 map boss killing in general has slowed down a good chunk.

If you don't already, swap arc > concentrated effect while killing bosses for a big chunk of damage gain as well for single target bossing.

I don't think they buffed guardians' and shaper hp. Only t15 and bellow.

Anyway, I was saying low damage and i know why. I was doing a wander barrage before and the damage was insane, so yeah....

I just went and did Phoenix now and it went somewhat well. I did 2 phoenixes.

First map I wasn't able to kill him. Really bad mods and I vaaled the map on accident. Had temp chains and the boss had more 70% increased area. I do NOT recommend ever doing that. Even escaping with shield charge is very difficult. I had to try and time his explosions and leave BEFORE he started then.

Miserably failed at that obviously.

Did a 2nd phoenix and I killed him without issues. I died 3 times though because I got crited once with 5.3k hp and the other 2 times I was distracted because it's difficult to see his explosions due to yor own explosions and I was also using Arc instead of Concentrated Effect because it helped a fucking ton to kill the adds.

Fight took like 4 mins or so. No issues whatesoever other than that. I just gota get gud.

Edit: I also used Soul of Abberath. 5% fire damage reduction is no freaking joke. Soul of Solaris can also save your ass if you can't escape from explosion.

Edit 2: I was also using Enfeeble instead of Ele Weakness.

How do you get 4 aps though? I'm using a lvl 19 with 20%q faster attacks and I have 3.69 as on offense panel.

With this build you can't hit the 4.0 per second, but 3.7 is pretty close. Just using the numbers to exemplify why attack speed from devoto's is useful to have. Albeit not necessary, it is an increase in damage due to discharges.
